Four Male Idols to Compete for Best New Actor Award at Baeksang Arts Awards

It will be a battle of the male idols at the 51st Baeksang Arts Awards, as four are nominated for the Best New Actor category for the upcoming award ceremony.

The 51st Baeksang Arts Awards announced their nominees on April 24. The award ceremony celebrates excellent works in both TV and film. There were 13 TV categories, including Best Drama, Best Drama Actor and Actress, and Best New Actor and Actress.

The Best New Actor had four idol actors competing for the award. Im Siwan of ZE:A was nominated for his role in “Misaeng,” while his group mate Park Hyung Sik was nominated for “What Happens to My Family?.” EXO‘s D.O (Do Kyung Soo) was nominated for his first drama, “It’s Okay, It’s Love,” while seasoned idol actor Lee Joon was nominated for his latest drama “Heard It Through the Grapevine.” The only non-idol nominee on the list was Kim Dae Myung, who played the curly-haired Kim Dong Sik from “Misaeng.”

The 51st Baeksang Arts Awards will be held on May 26.

Who do you think will claim the title? Who are you rooting for? Will the award go to one of the idols or Kim Dae Myung?
