BoA, possibly better known as the Queen of K-pop, shared that she was extremely nervous about the public’s response to her eighth album “Kiss My Lips.”
The star participated in a recent filming for KBS2TV’s “Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook,” during which she performed a number of songs as well as sat down for an interview with the MC.
She addressed the delicate props for “Kiss My Lips” that have shed feathers on music shows, saying, “The fans made of long feathers are important props for ‘Kiss My Lips.’ Someone in the audience left me a message saying that they had picked up the fallen feathers. As the feathers are rather expensive, I asked the person to return them to me on SNS. [The feathers] were sent to the office in a nice package and I’m grateful for that,” making the audience smile with her story.
As BoA took part in each stage of the album production, the album is particularly meaningful to her as an artist. She confessed, “I usually don’t care about my album’s position on music charts, but this time around I was so nervous that I checked my music chart rankings after getting very drunk. I simply checked that my album ranked first and then immediately fell asleep.”
This episode of “Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook” is set to air on May 29 at 11:25 p.m.
