Stage actor Kim Woon Ha (real name: Kim Chang Gyu) has passed away. He was only 40 years old.
Kim Woon Ha was found on June 19, five days after his death, in a goshiwon (cheap, temporary and small living space), after the manager of the goshiwon reported it to the police.
The police stated that there was no sign of injury found when Kim Woon Ha was first discovered and upon further examination and finding that he suffered from high blood pressure, chronic renal failure, and alcoholic hepatitis, it is presumed he died due to these chronic diseases.
On June 22, the theater company Shinsegae announced the passing of Kim Woon Ha through its blog, describing Kim Woon Ha as a “kind person who sincerely looked after his colleagues and juniors.” It asked, “Please pray that he will rest peacefully in heaven, receiving more love.”
Kim Woon Ha’s final project was Shinsegae’s “Human Zoo.”
