The long-awaited followup to the “Reply” drama series, “Reply 1988,” has finally started filming.
According to an entertainment industry insider on August 2, the drama started filming on its Uijeongbu set on July 31.
The source stated to Daily Sports, “Shoots for family photo props and such were already wrapped up, and the official start was July 31. Different from before, where filming took place in actual locations, the drama is on a set.”
“Reply 1988,” one of the most anticipated projects for the latter half of this year, is slated for television premiere towards the end of October. The drama team aims to have around half of the drama filmed by that time.
PD Shin Won Ho said, “The script is undergoing constant revisions, and we aren’t sure how we’ll go about the juxtaposition of past and present times. The drama will tell the stories of several families, all with different appearances and personalities.”
