Rapper Cheetah Reveals Thoughts on Recent Controversies Regarding “Show Me the Money 4”

On the August 6 broadcast of MBC FM4U’s “Sunny’s FM Date,” Cheetah appeared as a guest and discussed her thoughts on the recent controversies regarding the audition program, “Show Me the Money 4.”

Cheetah said, “‘Show Me the Money’ is stirring controversy because of lyrics. Since people in our country are exposed to a lot of provocative things, so they show a lot of interest in even more provocative things over bland and and drama-like things, so I think that’s why it gets edited like that. I think that’s probably why rappers who write their lyrics show those tendencies.”

She added, “However, it’s not crude because it’s hip hop, because it’s rap. I think they just want some more attention. I hope you don’t jump to any conclusions.”

Sunny commented, “Perhaps the cast is stirring up controversy on purpose for attention.”

To this, Cheetah responded, “Honestly, I’ve been on both ‘Show Me the Money’ and ‘Unpretty Rapstar,’ but there isn’t enough time to stir up controversy on purpose. In any case, it’s about showing off your skills, so there’s no time to do things like that.”

She then added, “There are a lot of people who are honest and blunt in hip hop.”
