BEAST Takes 4th Win on “Inkigayo,” Performances by BIGBANG, Wonder Girls, SHINee, T-ara, and More

Congratulations to BEAST for their fourth win on SBSInkigayo” with “YeY“! The group took the Sunday victory over Girls’ Generation‘s “Party” and Hyukoh‘s “Wi Ing Wi Ing.”

Especially notable this week is Hyukoh, despite their third place finish. The song “Wi Ing Wi Ing,” with which they climbed the charts, is their debut title track from their album “20,” which was released nearly a year ago in September of 2014. The band is currently gaining huge popularity through the “Infinity Challenge” music festival, as evidenced by their exceptionally high points for album sales.

On August 9, SBSInkigayo” hosts Hong Jong Hyun, Kim Yoo Jung, and GOT7 Jackson announced that the show would not be revealing the winner during the episode, as it is a pre-recorded show this week. As usual, the winner is to be announced on the “Inkigayo” home page at a later time.

Meanwhile, this episode of “Inkigayo” welcomed BIGBANG back to the stage, after the group was unable to promote on music shows for their last “MADE Series” release. Also making comeback performances were Wonder Girls, back with a powerful retro comeback, SHINee, with their highly-praised “Married to the Music,” B1A4, T-ara, and Baechigi.
