Rising Hallyu star Ji Chang Wook expressed his gratitude for the characters that he has played.
Ji Chang Wook, who is quickly cementing his place as a global star following actors Bae Yong Joon and Kim Soo Hyun, recently relayed his thoughts on his popularity in an interview with Grazia magazine.
He humbly said, “I think it’s because of the projects I’ve done. I am loved because the characters in the dramas are lovable. Before they knew Ji Chang Wook, they knew the character first. I saw that viewers in China really enjoyed MBC’s ‘Empress Ki‘ and KBS 2TV’s ‘Healer.’ It was hard filming both dramas, so I’m relieved that it wasn’t all for nothing.”
Meanwhile, Ji Chang Wook is in the middle of an Asian fan meet. The actor relayed that during the events, he sings. He says, “I sing about 10 songs. I only play games sitting down or talk just once or twice. It’s easier for me to sing, and everyone likes that better.”
