f(x) to Make a Comeback in October

f(x), one of the three girl groups managed by SM Entertainment, is making a comeback in October. This is the first album they’re releasing since Sulli decided to part with the group to pursue her acting career. This completes the lineup of album releases by SM Entertainment’s three girl groups making their comebacks consecutively. Girls’ Generation released an album in August followed by Red Velvet in September, and now f(x) in October.

Girls’ Generation made their debut in 2007 and released their fifth album, “Lion Heart,” on August 18. Red Velvet, who debuted with the digital single “Happiness” in August of 2014, is releasing their first full length album, “The Red,” on September 9, with f(x) scheduled to release their fourth album in October.

According to a music industry source, Victoria, Krystal, Amber, and Luna are set to release their fourth album in October and are finalizing details of their schedule. It’s been 15 months since their third album, “Red Light,” was released in July of 2014.

f(x) is known for their energetic electronic music. Their past albums were highly praised by fans and critics alike having been nominated for Korean Pop Music Award.

The fans are highly anticipating f(x)’s fourth album since it’s their first full length album with only four members. They performed well as a four member group during the SM Town Concert that took place in August of 2014 and earlier this year. The album is expected to do well especially with the higher level of recognition by the public thanks to various individual appearances on television made by the members during the group’s time away from the stage.

On a related note, despite expectations that “Lion Heart” would keep falling in ranks because it has been a while since its release, the Girls’ Generation song is climbing back up in music charts. As of 7 a.m. on September 9, it’s placed at number six on the Melon Top 100. Red Velvet’s newest title song, “Dumb Dumb,” is at the top of the chart proving themselves to be the next hot girl group.
