DAY6’s Junhyeok Withdraws From Group and Contract With JYPE

On February 27, JYP Entertainment revealed on the official DAY6 fan page that DAY6 member Junhyeok would be withdrawing from the group and from his contract with the agency for personal reasons.

“Junhyeok, who had been working together with DAY6 until now, has decided to leave the group and his contract for personal reasons,” the official statement read. “We ask for your support for Junhyeok, who has chosen to go along a new path, and the rest of DAY6, who are working hard on a new album to meet with their fans again.”

DAY6 debuted last September with the album “The Day” and the title track, “Congratulations.” The lineup at their debut consisted of Sungjin (leader, guitar, main vocalist), Jae (guitar, vocalist, rapper), Junhyeok (keyboard, vocalist), Young K (bass, vocalist, rapper), Wonpil (synthesizer, vocalist), and Dowoon (drums).
