Kim Sohye, a participant of “Produce 101” is taking legal actions against rude netizens who are spreading malicious rumors of her.
On February 29, her managing agency Red Line Entertainment released a statement that they would be taking legal action against those who have spread false rumors of her and have caused defamation.
“Thank you to those who have sent their love and attention to Red Line Entertainment and our artists,” they started off. “We are trying our best to payback everyone’s love and support.”
“Recently cases of false rumors, sexual photoshops, and blatantly crude comments about our artists have been worsening,” they said. “Due to these false rumors, the artists and their family and friends are mentally suffering.”
“Our company will be collecting data and receiving reports on malicious rumors and will take legal actions against these netizens,” they stated.
The company is taking legal actions because rumors of Kim Sohye’s past and her school life have been spreading among online communities.
Meanwhile, “Produce 101” is a show in which 98 trainees battle in each other to release a single and debut as a unit group. Kim Sohye is currently 7th place out of the remaining 61 people.
