Earlier this month, we gave you a (incomplete) list of must-have products from Korean beauty brands. We realized that there are still a couple more popular brands for makeup that we missed out on. So, here is a list of 12 more Korean beauty products that’ll change your life forever!
Peri’s Ink Tint
If the Peri’s Ink Tint isn’t already in your makeup collection, you’re definitely missing out. Like its name, this lip tint really stains your lips for over 12 hours. It’s so strong that they even made a separate remover for this tint. If you’re looking for a lip tint that will not budge throughout the day even after eating, this is the product for you! I would recommend number 5 No Spoilers as the perfect everyday lip color. This color is the perfect shade of pink that goes with any kind of eye makeup. It gives your lips the perfect pop of color without overwhelming the balance of your overall look.
Peri’s Tint Water
One of the reasons why I love Korean makeup products, apart from the adorable packaging, is because they easily substitute as dupes for high-end western products. The Peri’s Tint Water in Cherry Juice is the perfect dupe for the Benefit’s Benetint. This product is the perfect lip product if you’re looking for a lip tint to recreate the famous Korean gradient lips. It has a liquid consistency that makes it easy to spread on your lips, but because it has a fast-drying formula, you don’t need to worry about it spilling everywhere. It’s also the perfect product to pair onto your cheeks. Just a couple of dabs onto your cheeks and a quick spread brings the cutest pop of color to your cheeks. Also, because it is a lip stain, you don’t have to worry about your blush disappearing throughout the day!
Peri’s Cushion Lips
Korea has been definitely loving this cushion trend as even lip products are now being created into a cushion consistency. Initially, I thought that this product would just be another lip stain with a different name for marketing purposes. However, this is the one lip product that my roommate swears by. After seeing her obsession with the product, out of curiosity, I went and grabbed one for myself too. After using this product up in a very quick three months, I can tell you that this is one of my new obsessions as well. The Peri’s Cushion Lips is the most moisturizing lip tint that I have used thus far. The cushion packaging makes the cream texture easy to dab onto your lips. Also the formula for this lip stain is very creamy and moisturizing as it stains your lips without stripping away the moisture from your lips like most lip stains.
Missha’s 4D Mascara is definitely a product you have to check out if you’re like me and always broke. It retails for 3,300 Korean Won, which is about $3 USD! I’m always trying to look for mascaras that are cheap yet lengthening because mascaras need to be thrown out every three months. Out of the many different mascaras I have tried before, the 4D mascara definitely makes it in my top three. Although this mascara was very cheap, it lengthens and adds volume to my lashes like no other. Not only does it accentuate your lashes, it’s also waterproof and sweat-proof. I loved this mascara so much that I even have a couple of backups stashed in my drawer in case they ever discontinue this product!
One of my guilty pleasures when it comes to makeup is single eyeshadows. For some reason, I like to have a couple of single eyeshadows more than having a palettes. Out of the many single eyeshadows that I own, one of my favorites is the Missha Modern Shadow, which comes in such chic and clean packaging. The packaging reminds me a bit of the Bobbi Brown single eyeshadows, and it’s not the only reason why I love this product. The Modern Eyeshadows come in a variety of different lines including matte, shimmer, electric, and glitter. Out of the many different colors, my favorite one is the GOR 01 Orange Bianco. This shade does not have much pigmentation but it does have the most gorgeous glitters. It has a combination of slightly blue and orange shimmers that combine to give you the perfect sparkle on your eye. I actually like to put this color on my lower lashline to give my eyes the extra pop!
Perfect Cover BB Cream
The Missha Perfect Cover BB Cream is a product that you can’t forget if you’re going to talk about best-sellers. This BB Cream was actually one of the first BB Creams that Missha came out with a couple years back. However, it still remains a cult favorite to many Korean students because it has so many different skin properties. Not only does it moisturize your skin and provide sun protection, it gives your skin the perfect amount of coverage while reducing the appearance of oil. Also, unlike many other BB Creams, this BB Cream does not have a grey undertone that can make you appear more tired. In fact, the slightly pink undertone of this BB cream gives your skin the extra boost of color to cover up those dark circles caused by countless nights of studying.. or watching your favorite K-pop groups on YouTube!
Concealer Dual Veil
The Face Shop’s Conceal Dual Veil is hands down one of my favorite holy grail items. I can proudly tell you that I wear this concealer everyday. This concealer comes with a dual end with both a liquid and a stick concealer. The liquid concealer is perfect for covering your dark circles because it has a brighter tone than the stick concealer. The stick concealer is perfect for covering imperfections because it has extremely high coverage. However, the formula of the product is not what makes me love it. It’s the wide variety of shades that this concealer comes in. Being more on the tan side, it’s really hard for me to find base products that fit my skin tone perfectly in Korea. However, the Concealer Dual Veil comes in three different shades that vary from pale to tan skin tones.
Lovely Mex Color My Eyebrow
I think in our day and age, it’s really hard to find someone who has never dyed their hair before. Our generation loves the lighter hair tones and the funky ombres. I absolutely love blondes and copper orange hair. I’m actually planning to dye my hair ombre in a couple weeks once my hair grows a little bit longer. However, one thing that bothers me every time I dye my hair is having dark eyebrows. The Face Shop Lovely Mex Color My Eyebrow is my absolute favorite brow mascara out of all the different brands because it has the perfect applicator. The small applicator applies the perfect amount of product onto your brows to change the color without making your brows clump together.
Mango Seed Facial Butter
I don’t know about you guys but every time the seasons change, my skin starts to freak out. On bad days, a layer of my face actually starts to peel off. Every time I have super dry skin I always turn to the Mango Seed Facial Butter. Not only does it have the most delectable scent, it also is super rich in moisture. The product comes with a small spatula so you keep the product hygienic. Every time I scoop out this product, the consistency confuses me because I don’t know if I’m scooping facial butter or just butter. Because this facial butter is richer and thicker than most facial creams, I like to rub it in between my hands and press it onto my face. Also, by rubbing the product between my hands, the heat from my palms allows the product to absorb more quickly into my skin. If you have super dry skin, this is the product you need to get your hands on!
This product is definitely one of the cult favorites that’s even appeared on “Get It Beauty.” The Tony Moly Crystal Blusher is my absolute favorite blush because it comes in so many different colors. Also, you receive so much product for the price that you pay. Because I have darker skin, I enjoy putting oranges and peaches on my cheeks to make a subtle glow. My two favorite colors from the crystal blusher line is number 3 Pleasure Peach and number 5 Bronzing Brown. The color Pleasure Peach is the perfect shade of coral that brightens up your skin without making you appear too flushed. Bronzing Brown is another one of my favorites because it works as the perfect bronzer. Surprisingly, it’s dark enough to show on my tan skin, unlike many other Korean bronzers. Not to mention that both blushers stay on my cheeks all day even without a separate setting spray!
Homeless Strawberry 3 Step Nose Pack
All throughout my life, I thought Biore was the only company that made nose packs. However, when I got my hands on the Homeless Strawberry 3 Step Nose Pack, I immediately threw out all of my old Biore pore strips. This product is super unique because they have three different pore strips for different purposes. The first step is a nose sheet that is enriched with witch hazel and sage leaves that open up your clogged pores. The second step is your average pore sheet that removes your black and whiteheads. And lastly, the third step is enriched with aloe and green tea to soothe your pores and to close up the pores that were opened up so that the blackheads can’t grow back. This nose pack definitely made a noticeable difference. I would recommend this if you’re also struggling with blackheads!
Back Gel Eyeliner
This eyeliner always makes me a little sentimental because it was my first makeup product ever. Nonetheless, the Tony Moly Back Gel Eyeliner is definitely a product you want in your makeup collection. It’s rumored to be the perfect dupe for the Bobbi Brown Long Wear Eye Liner. However, in my opinion, this product is even better than the Bobbi Brown eyeliner because it comes with a brush included in the packaging! Because the eyeliner itself comes with a eyeliner brush, it’s super handy to carry around when traveling because you don’t need to carry a separate eyeliner brush. Also, this product comes in so many different colors! My personal favorite is number 8 Deep Burgundy because it’s a color that’s hard to find elsewhere. Also, it’s gorgeous when paired with a matte dark brown eyeshadow in the colder seasons!
