Many fans of “Mozart!” have been boycotting the musical to have MC the Max’s Lee Soo step down from his role, and on April 20, after reports that he will be stepping down from the musical came out, Lee Soo took to his Instagram account to relay his thoughts on the matter.

Lee Soo wrote, “Thank you for all the comforting and sharp words. I realized once again that I lack too much to begin something new again. There have been many rejections, but this incident still saddens me very much.”

He continued, “I am sorry for continuing to show myself stumbling, and I despise myself for it. I will try my best to create good music and performances. I will continue to do my job in a way that is proper.”

Lastly, he said, “I apologize for announcing this kind of news again. I will return with good work. I sincerely apologize.”

In 2009, Lee Soo was initially charged with soliciting an underage prostitute who was 16 years old at the time. Although Lee Soo admitted to paying the girl,  he claimed that he didn’t know at the time that she was a minor. The charges were eventually dropped

Three years ago, Lee Soo faced a negative reaction to his appearance on MBC’s “I Am a Singer- Season 3,” also resulting in a withdrawal from the show.
