Shinhwa’s Lee Min Woo And Shin Hye Sung To Lead Hopeful Trainees On “Boys24”

Shinhwa members Shin Hye Sung and Lee Min Woo are to participate as leaders on “Boys24,” an upcoming boy group survival show. The 49 lucky trainees, who all broke through a competition rate of 220 to one, will learn from the experiences and knowledge of the two idol veterans.

The show is a performance based survival reality show. Each episode, groups of trainees will compete against each other and the remaining 24 trainees will be granted their own performance theater where they will have the opportunity perform live for an entire year.

Different from other survival shows, “Boys24” focuses on group competitions, and those with superior teamwork skills will end up at the top. The goal is to train and debut the last group standing.

“Masters” of vocals, rap, and dance will train the contestants, but Shin Hye Sung and Lee Min Woo will help lead the contestants as facilitators throughout the program.

Shin Hye Sung and Lee Min Woo’s agency, Liveworks Company, stated, “The reason why Shinhwa is still together after 18 years is because of their teamwork. Therefore, having Shin Hye Sung and Lee Min Woo on a show where teamwork is key is a great and meaningful asset for the trainees. They will be worth keeping an eye on.”

“Boys24” will air June 18 at 11:30 p.m. KST.
