EXO’s powerful performances have caught the eyes of many these days.
The group recently made a comeback on June 9, with their third full album, “EX’ACT.” With their two title tracks, “Monster” and “Lucky One,” showing off completely different charms as well as the members’ upgraded abilities to perform, EXO has managed to captivate viewers and fans alike.
The unique, constantly changing formations, along with EXO’s cohesiveness and powerful choreography are the distinguishing characteristics of their “Monster” performance. The dance itself is by the world famous group NappyTabs, who’s choreographed for Madonna, Christina Aguilera, and BoA (on “Only One”). They’ve also worked with EXO in the past, on their 2015 track, “Call Me Baby.” SM Entertainment’s performance director and BeatBurger member Shim Jae Won also participated in the creation of the choreography, along with Jin Hyun Ho (also known as Hyuno), which raised the level of the finished product.
On the other hand, the dance for “Lucky One” is the work of BeatBurger’s Shim Jae Won and Hwang Sang Hoon (Greg), as well as Kim Tae Woo (Kasper) and Jin Hyun Ho (Hyuno). The contemporary choreography suits the bright and cheerful R&B funk track. The members’ charismatic expressions combined with the dance makes for a more spectacular stage, igniting positive responses from fans worldwide.
These double title tracks have not only topped digital and physical music charts domestically, but also have recorded first place on seven different iTunes album charts across Asia, as well as first place on 11 countries’ iTunes pop album charts worldwide.
Meanwhile, EXO will continue their promotions this week with appearances on various music programs, starting with Mnet’s “M!Countdown” on June 16 KST.
