JTBC’s New Singing Show “Girl Spirit” To Replace “Sugar Man”

On June 28 a JTBC representative revealed to OSEN news, “‘Girl Spirit’ plans to air its first episode on July 19.” This means “Girl Spirit” will replace current variety program, “Sugar Man.”

The show will give the opportunity to underrated female idols, who have yet to gain recognition, to prove their vocal skills to viewers.

“Girl Spirit” will be led by PD Ma Gun Young, who was the production assistant for MBC’s “Infinite Challenge.” This will be Ma’s first project as a main PD after moving to JTBC.

The show will be hosted by comedian Jo Se Ho and INFINITE’s Sunggyu. Tak Jae Hoon, Jang Woo Hyuk, Chun Myung Hoon, Lee Ji Hye, and Seo In Young will appear as the contestants’ mentors.
