Hierarchy of K-Pop Idols by Debut

Recently, many netizens were amazed to see a post detailing the debut of idols from 1996 to 2008. The post is currently the hottest trending article on various Korean portals and lists all the idols by debut period starting with H.O.T. in 1996. The nineties group, also known as the “first generation idols,” include H.O.T. Sechskies, S.E.S., and more. As shown in the gallery, solo artists like BoA and Psy took over the first half of the 2000s. They were soon followed by groups like DBSK, Super Junior, and more. The post also drew attention with its use of rather comical photos of the idols, humoring many of their fans.

Many netizens who saw the post commented, “I didn’t know BoA was Psy’s sunbae,” “It was probably harder to find such photos than nicer ones,” “Where did he/she find all this,” and more.
