[Update] 2AM's Jinwoon Injured in a Car Accident and Due to Receive Surgery Today

2AM‘s agency, Big Hit Entertainment, revealed today that member Jinwoon was in a car accident yesterday night and is scheduled for surgery today.

Big Hit Entertainment stated that around 11:30PM on October 6 KST, the car Jinwoon was in collided with a 25-ton truck. Jinwoon’s right ankle has been fractured and suffered about a 10cm-long laceration. He will receive emergency surgery today. 

Jinwoon was on his way back to Seoul after finishing up work in another city. The manager and other staff member in the car were also injured. 

Jinwoon in currently in the Samsung Medical Center in Seoul, and it is uncertain how his future activities will be affected.

Update:

Big Hit Entertainment stated in a phone conversation with local news agency My Daily that Jinwoon has come out of surgery on his right ankle. The results of the surgery are not officially out yet, but the doctors said Jinwoon needs absolute rest. For the time being, Jinwoon will remain in the hospital and be monitored.
