Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Ah Joong Re-sign with Their Respective Agencies

There has been a lot of contract related news in recent months such as actress Jo Yeo Jeong’s double contract issue, Park Ha Sun resigning with her agency and numerous other contract related news. This week we once again have some more contract news- this time of the more positive type, with reports coming in that state actor Kim Soo Hyun and actress Kim Ah Joong have re-signed with their respective agencies.

Let’s first start with Kim Soo Hyun. According to a statement released to the press by his agency KEYEAST, Kim Soo Hyun has re-signed with the agency and will continue to perform all his activities under the KEYEAST label. During his time with KEYEAST, Kim Soo Hyun has appeared in work such as “Dream High,” “The Moon Embracing the Sun” along with movies such as “The Thieves” and “Secretly, Greatly.”

Kim Soo Hyun has been on the rise as an actor thanks to successive hits along with his clean good looks and great work ethics. This, combined with his increasing popularity overseas thanks to the success of movies such as “Secretly, Greatly” has meant that the talented actor has been on the radar for numerous agencies even before the end of his contract with KEYEAST.

Kim Soo Hyun, however, has clearly decided to ignore other potentially lucrative offers, instead deciding to remain loyal to the agency that has overseen his rise to stardom in recent years.

KEYEAST President, Yang Geun Hwan, states that “Trust gained by working together for a long period of time is the biggest driving force for the management company” and that “Moving forward we will spare absolutely no expense to ensure that Kim Soo Hyun grows as an actor that represents the nation and goes on to ply his trade on a much bigger scale.”

Yang Geun Hwan has also expressed his thanks towards his actor stating that “I’m thankful towards the actors such as Choi Kang Hee, Kim Hyun Joong, Hong Soo Hyun, So E Hyun and now Kim Soo Hyun, who have expressed the desire to grow with KEYEAST.”

Kim Soo Hyun is expected to make his comeback on the small screen on December 18 through the new SBS Drama “You Came From The Stars” (aka known as “My Love from the Stars” and “Man from the Stars”) featuring Jun Ji Hyun as the other lead character.

Now moving on to Kim Ah Joong, who has also recently re-signed with her agency Namoo Actors.

According to a statement released to the press on December 4, Namoo Actors stated that actress Kim Ah Joong has recently re-signed with the specialized agency.

A Namoo Actors official states that “We have decided to continue our relationship (with the actress) on the basis of the trust that we have built up with each other over the past 2 years.” They continued to state that “We are happy that we are able to continue working with Kim Ah Joong, a multi talented actress with a passion for her work. We will be fully supporting her to ensure that as an actress, Kim Ah Joong is able to continue working in a wide range of projects.”

Kim Ah Joong is expected to make her big screen comeback on December 19 with the movie “Catch Me,” a romantic comedy featuring the talented actress and fellow actor Joo Won as her supporting lead.
