[Spoiler] Yoon Shi Yoon Gives YoonA a Back Hug on “Prime Minister and I”

Fans who have been following the KBS drama “Prime Minister and I” may not be surprised by this turn of events. Yoon Shi Yoon’s character, In Ho, gives YoonA’s Da Jung a back hug in stills for an upcoming episode of the drama.

The stills were released on January 5, and in the photo, Yoon Shi Yoon has a pitiable look in his eyes as he embraces YoonA from behind. YoonA looks affected by the sudden backhug, her eyes brimming with tears as she clutches at her heart.

This scene was filmed on set in Icheon, Gyeonggi-do, on December 28. The two did some stretching ahead of filming to loosen out their cold-stiffened bodies, enlivening the atmosphere on set.

YoonA and Yoon Shi Yoon’s sudden back hug scene is an important one, and the pair immersed themselves in filming when cameras started rolling. Wanting to express the mournful feelings that director Lee So Yeon desired, YoonA and Yoon Shi Yoon got the scene right in just one take.

Da Jung and In Ho had shared a friendly, bantering relationship up to now, but this scene looks like it will change their relationship. Looks like things won’t be so smooth sailing for the Prime Minister and his wife. Both men will have to step it up, as a love triangle officially forms between Kwon Yul (Lee Bum Soo), Da Jung, and In Ho.

The production side stated, “YoonA and Yoon Shi Yoon are doing their best to bring across their characters’ complicated feelings, despite their packed schedules and lack of sleep. The two actors are diligently delivering a better performance than before with every scene, and we’d like to take the opportunity to say how thankful we are for their efforts.”

“Prime Minister and I” airs every Monday and Tuesday at 10pm (KST).
