Kim Yuna Reported to Be Dating Hockey Player Kim Won Joong

“Queen of Figure Skating” Kim Yuna (age 24) is rumored to be in a dating relationship with ice hockey player Kim Won Joong (age 30).

On March 6, Dispatch reported that Kim Yuna and Kim Won Joong have fallen in love. Photos of the two ice athletes were captured, which you can see here.

Kim Won Joong graduated from Korea University, joined the Anyang Halla ice hockey team and is currently enlisted in the military, serving as part of the military ice hockey team.

According to Dispatch’s reports, the two met in July of 2012. After the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics, Kim Yuna was struggling with various personal issues and injuries. However, she was determined to go for the 2014 Sochi Winter Olympics and re-entered Taeneung Training Center, which is the national training center of Korean national athletics. This is when she met Kim Won Joong.

Kim Won Joong’s acquaintances are reported to comment, “Kim Won Joong was a safe comfort for her. He made the frowning Kim Yuna, smile.”

Along with the fact that they have the same alma mater and are competing in sports on ice, they both had many things in common. This was how they apparently became closer.
