EXO-K to Perform at Baeksang Art Awards
Boy band EXO-K is set to attend the Baeksang Art Awards, to be held today (May 27) at 6:20PM Korean time.
This year marks the 50th anniversary of the awards ceremony, which sees Korea’s most prominent film and television stars recognized for their works. The Baeksang Art Awards are considered by many to be Korea’s equivalent to the Oscars.
A spokesperson for the event explained why EXO-K had been invited, saying, “Baeksang invites a top musical artist or group to perform every year. This year we decided on EXO-K. The group’s music and dancing makes them the best choice for this ceremony.”
EXO-K will perform their latest hit, “Overdose,” at the end of part one of the event.
The awards ceremony will be held at Seoul’s Kyung Hee University, and will be televised live on JTBC.
