San E to Host Mnet’s Rap Survival Show “Unpretty Rapstar”

Mnet has announced that rap star San E will be the host of “Unpretty Rapstar,” the television channel’s forthcoming hip hop competition for female rappers.

The show will feature AOA’s Jimin, Jessi of Lucky J, speed rapper and “Show Me the Money Season 3” contestant Tymee, Jolly V, Cheetah, Kisum, Lil Cham, and “Show Me the Money Season 3” contestant Yook Ji Dam.

San E spoke of his delight at landing the role. The star explained, “I have never even dreamed about the idea of becoming the host of a television show. When I heard about it, I was so nervous about the new challenge. I could not sleep a wink the night before the first day of shooting. I want to say a big thank you to the production team. They have shown a lot of trust in me despite the fact that I am very inexperienced.”

“Unpretty Rapstar” will begin airing on Thursdays at 11 p.m. on Mnet beginning on January 29. The show is slated to run for six weeks.
