Park Seo Joon and SISTAR's Bora Step Down, Red Velvet's Irene Is the New MC for "Music Bank"

Red Velvet member Irene has been named the new official MC for KBS’s weekly music show, “Music Bank.”

Current MCs Park Seo Joon and SISTAR‘s Bora will be stepping down after hosting the show for about one year and six months, and their final episode will air on April 24.

Irene’s partner, expected to be male, has not been announced yet. They will start to host the show starting May 1. Of Irene, the “Music Bank” production team commented, “We decided that Irene would be a good MC after seeing that she has a lot of talent for variety, as well as a confident attitude and good manners.

“Music Bank” airs on KBS every Friday at 6:30 p.m.
