Jinusean Says Epik High Thanked Them for Staging a Comeback

The most recent issue of Elle features Jinusean in a youthful and fun photo shoot with a revealing interview.

According to the guys, youth is not something defined by age but by passion. “Even if you’re young, if you don’t have passion then it would be hard to say you’re ‘youthful’,” they explain in an interview with the magazine. “But even people who are over the age of sixty can be ‘youthful’ as long as they keep taking on challenges in life with passion.”

Jinusean debuted in 1997 and the duo were active until 2004, when they released their fourth album. But after that, member Sean says he’d sometimes miss performing. He’d see new artists on stage and think, “If I was up on that stage I could do it better.”

They say that while their appearance on December’s “Infinity Challenge” episode that parodied “I am a Singer” was the motivation for their comeback, they had been mentally preparing for it over the past ten years.

Jinusean also reveals in their interview that their comeback was the most quickly produced project ever at their agency YG Entertainment.

In addition, the duo says that fellow YG hip-hop group Epik High thanked them after they decided to do a comeback. Jinusean explains, “They were grateful because since we’re active again, our juniors in the industry will be able to extend their careers for ten more years as well.”

More photos and the full interview can be found in the May issue of Elle magazine.
