Lee Min Ho Thanks Fans for 9th Anniversary Messages

Fans all over the world celebrated the 9th anniversary of actor Lee Min Ho‘s debut on May 10, and Lee Min Ho has thanked them for their support.

Lee Min Ho officially debuted in the EBS drama “Secret Campus,” which aired its first episode on May 10, 2006. His real breakthrough role was in the show “Boys Over Flowers” in 2009, and he has since become a huge star throughout Asia and a member of the A-list in Korea.

According to his agency, he’s been receiving an outpouring of support and encouragement from fans all over the world through letters, videos, and messages over social media. They’ve also been organizing events to mark the special day.

Korean fans raised money in his name to donate to Nepal earthquake relief efforts. They are also continuing the now six-year-long tradition of buying space on electronic billboards in major centers of Seoul to post messages of congratulations and support, as well as play scenes from his shows.

Japanese fans dedicated a street to Lee Min Ho by putting up banners for him and taking over electronic billboards there, as they did last year, as well as renting a bus with a congratulatory message on it that drove through major neighborhoods of Seoul for eight hours. Chinese fans have donated to the victims of the Nepal earthquake as well, and have also been sending him video messages.

In Turkey, fans put on a special performance by paragliding at a height of 2400 meters above sea level in Antalya in order to convey their message of support to Lee Min Ho. They said they hoped that the wind would carry the following message to Lee Min Ho in Korea: “MinozTurkey loves you and they truly wish to see you.”
