My 2nd language

Even though I was born in America my first language really was Korean. My first words where "Apa" haha then "kimchi and bop" haha. Anyway I spoke korean first but then I got mixed with English and then I started to speak less and less korean. I went to Korean school because Halmonie wanted me to pick up on my grammer but eventally as i got older my schedule had gotten more full nd I was unable to keep up with classes. At the moment I can speak korean moderately but I wish I could speak fluently. Halmonie speaks to me in korean and I understand, but trying to reply is so hard. I remeber once I fell down the steps because my shoes where undtied and Halmonie was asking what happend but all I could say was "apo apo nomo apo" she couldn't figure out what was hurting. At the moment I've been able to increase my vocab in Korean but that is do to watchin Korean Drama, haha. I wish someone could help me. Pick back up on the language, so that I can have full conversations with my Halmonie. I love her very much. Nomo Sarang hey yo. It would be so nice, since I'll be moving soon. Halmonie was being so goofy when she heard it, she was saying "you call everyday you uderstand. adoyo!"haha I said "neh" as usual but still if I could just explian that I love her so much, like a mother since she really did raise me, it would be so nice. Having long full conversations on the phone so that she wouldnt worry about me. I just wish so much that I could. I keep tryng to expand my vocab but I need help. So if anyone that is reading this has any sympathy and speaks Korean fluently, could you please help me. It would be much appreciated. Thank you for taking the time to read this. I hope to have more happier blog entries.

Sincerly, Jangme

i'm not korean, and i'm not learning korean (learning japanese and spanish). i would suggest that you just keep watching dramas and try to speak it as much as you can. That's what I'm trying to do haha. If you speak it more, it should come to you better and should be able to speak and respond easier.

Like the person above said, I'm not Korean.

But I'm learning Korean. You probably understand so much more than me but there's a site that I use called www.wordshowers.com

It has a LOT of vocabulary words so I suggest you use that. Good luck.

I'm not Korean. But why don't you read books? And study the grammar. Like how the actions and words are put in order when saying something. My friend is Korean, she says that the Korean grammar is funny and English is easier =] Just read more books and watch movies and analyse the grammar and stuff. It helps. It's just like English, you read books and and watch films your language becomes stronger
