Wow - my first blog entry. . . .

I am a mother of 4. The 2 eldest (Dan 21, and Ric 19) are on my profile pic and they are currently going to school in BYU Hawaii. They work at the Polynesian Cultural Center in Laie in the Hawaiien village to pay there way thru school and come in contact with many asian tourist who think that they are local girls but in fact they are kiwis from NZ.They are hard out News, Big Bang, DBSK, Yui fans (and other asian artists that are 2 many to name). I was a reluctant fan and a late bloomer.

Back in 2006 my youngest daughter (Laura - LA for short with each letter said separately) was surfing the net and came across News singing 'Cherish.' She called Ric over to check out these weired asians singing this weired asian song. At first they were hard out mocking everything on the video clip. From their dance routine to the pink gloves lol. Two minutes later they were hooked . . . .and have been fanading (their word for fanatical fans) anything asian since. So they call this day Cherish Day and last year celebrated it by going to a Kareoke place in the city and belting out all the NEWS Songs that was there. . . and yep they know all the words in Japanese right down to the actions for each song lol.

 Now, for Laura. LA is now 15 and right now at this moment is living her dream of going to a Japanese High School. Today is her first day at Kyoto Gaidai Nishi High School and has just rung me from the school office to say hi. She also said that they have weired bathrooms coz there is no shower stalls . . . last nite when she had her first shower she was so self conscienceos that she kept on ducking beneath the bath to get out of sight. lol. She has seen so many Jdramas with kids wearing uniforms that, that is one of the major things that she wants to get. So I think today she is getting fitted for them. Here is her bebo message from last nite when she arrived:

well im here!!! i would lyk u guys 2 call but im kinda tired, the plane was allryt until i got really hot and the space was small and the plane was bumpy and i felt lyk throwing up and i got a headahce >.< and at the end ov the plane i almost nearly threw up but i somehow restrained myself, and there was this nice lady hu sat next 2 me, mayb about ur age, yeh and she was really impressed with me coming 2 japan 4 my first tym by myself XD and yeh she helped me wen we got off the plane but then we got seperated with the passport thingy but i didnt relise so i didnt get 2 say goodbye >.< but evrything went well on both sides, lyk customs and stuff and now im at quentins house, its quite a nice house, kinda lyk authentic japanese yet still a bit modern, and yehhh i got here kinda later than i thout i would coz there was other pasengers in the taxi slash van... at first i was tryna look at all the surriundings but on the motorway they hav these wall things so u cant see outside them so im thinking lyk mayb its 4 suicide reasons??? lol i dunno so i fell asleep and then i woke up and we wer in a city slash town slash place that i can look at! lol and there are heaps of sakura!!! lyk b4 i came i sed that i would take a pika with each and evry1 i see, yehhhh it would b lyk take one pika and then move 10 steps and take another one andthen do that 4 the hole street! (i cant find the squigle button coz this computer is japanese one slash english) any ways...tell pup and stef all this and that i say hi!!!! this is still weird, lyk its not real, im in sum randoms house using their computer and it feels weird (i also cant find the underscore =.=) and its funny, japanese service is so good lyk in the taxi they make summin so that u dont hav 2 slam the door but they can close it lightly and then the door will automatically close properly itself, yehhh it made me laf and also the first johnnys i saw on an ad was matsumoto jun holding a drink on a ending machine saying `oishii` means yummu, anyways... im off
