Hello Soompiers, some of you have been confused at all the new features. We are going to try and answer some of the questions you have. 

Your New Profile
We wanted to create one central dashboard to make it easier for you do everything from one page, so you can write, read, post photos, see your forum activity - all in one place.  To post an item, click on the yellow POST button and it will give you several categories of posts you can make (photos, blogs, news articles to appear on soompi.com and status updates).  If you just want to view, use the other buttons (without the yellow POST button) to sort by content type, so you can look at all photo posts or all blog posts.

My Cafe is your new comment box - where you stop by to say hi to people.

Tagging
Thank you for tagging your pictures! It has been a tremendous help in sorting your uploaded pictures and sharing them with other members. Here are some extra tips:

1. Our tagging system is smart and knows that many groups go by more than one name, so you only need to enter in one of their names when you tag, and it will show with the pool of tags. Try to use the most common name of that tag. For instance, adding a 'DBSK' tag will automatically group it together with other similar tags, such as 'Dong Bang Shin Ki', 'Dong Bang Shin Gi', 'TVXQ', etc. So you only need to enter in one.

2. You need to press enter to add each individual tag. A comma will not separate them.

3. For group pictures, you do not have to tag the individual members. But with solo pictures, you should tag what group they are in, just so others will know what group that celeb is in.  

4. You do not need to tag general things like 'Korea', 'singer', or 'actor'.

Posting Status Updates
Did you know that Soompi has actually had status updates/blogs since 2008? Only a few people used it since it was part of the main page and you needed a different account. Now that everything is tied together on one account, it is easily accessible. And you can just browse through the statuses to see what people are doing on Soompi.

News
Now you can write news articles to be posted on Soompi's main site! Post "News" from your profile and it will be published on our news page AND be considered for being featured on the Home Page.  More info here.

Examples of other news topics that might appear in Soompi Scoops are:
- Celeb appearances/performances at award shows or in foreign countries
- New commercials or music videos featured celebs
- Concert announcements
- News related to industry rankings or top hits charts for music or dramas in Korea and abroad

Followers and your cafe
If you follow someone, then their non-forum activity will appear on your profile activity feed (which only you can see).  If they follow you, then your activities appear in their feed.  It's pretty much the same as friends, but it can be initiated by just one person. We came up with this solution after getting feedback from fan fix writers, S/Ts and their fans who wanted a good way to stay up to date.  Stronger privacy controls will eventually be in place for being able to block people if you do not want them seeing your info... just give us some time!

Missing PM features, save drafts, and log in as invisible.
All are being worked on. Don't worry, the missing features that they previous had will be back eventually. Be patient, we only have a handful of coders, and they are working very hard for you. 

Mass PMing caps at 10 people. If you add more then 10 people to the list, the message will be sent to the first 10.  

Forgot your account email?
Submit a bug report saying that you forgot what email address was and what your username was. For security reasons we can only reply and tell you what domain (@yahoo, @gmail) you used to for your soompi account. We will try to figure out something if there are further problems. To report a bug, click on the red feedback tab on the left side of the window.

Login Issues
If you are still having login issues, please try the following steps in this specific order:

1. Log out of soompi main site and forums.
2. Clear cache and cookies.
3. Shut down your browser.
4. Restart browser.
5. Log in to soompi again and try again.

If you are on a version of Firefox 3.0, then you may need to upgrade because that first 3.0 version of FF was buggy.  If you are getting errors on IE, then follow the steps on this site.

Please report any bugs on the red feedback tab on the left, being as descriptive as possible. Always include your username. We have also been keeping track of your all of your feedback and input from various topics in the forum.
