SM Global Audition 2008

There has been a lot of asking: Will there be another SM Global Audition this year??

This blog is for all the ppl that are asking this question and ppl that have answers. Others may include people who are planning to audition for SM and it may also include ppl who are just curious~

As far as I know, no one outside of SM seems to know if there is going to be a SM audition this year. I definitely want SM audition to happen this year in US, however, i fear there is a possibility that it may not happen as well. Seeing as how SM Ent. is very busy with their new boyband group ShineE and are very busy with other SM artists: SuperJunior-recently created more mini groups(K.R.Y & M), SNSD or also known as Girls Generation 소녀시대. Also, some of you may know that there are SM auditions everyweek-1/4 chosen everymonth-admitted to SM(held in Korea). If there was another globl audition this year, it could be of some inconvenience for the SM ppl to fly all across the country n listen to hundreds, thousands of ppl singing.

i really do, want the SM Global Audition 2008 to take place this year, however i just wanted to share my worries and wanted to let others who are desperately waiting for this know of what might happen.

Aside from worries, this blog can also be of helping each other to prepare for the audition. giving tips and suggestions to how one should prepare and get ready for SM Global Audition 2008

it doesnt seem right how they would make the process like that, are you sure it goes for global too. cuz doesnt seem right how they would make ppl fly out there and wait to see if thier elimentated soo.

cuz i was actualy going to audition but i'm not if they system is liek that

i was actualy thinking abotu auditioning but if that is the process i dont want to to much work.

but doesnt seem right how they make people fly out there and wait till they are elimated...are you sure that goes for global too?

does the whole people voting, elitmenation process only go for the ones that were picked in korea or both global.

cuz i dont think it makes sence how they would make people fly out there you know.

ah and i was actualy thinking about auditioning.

i think it has been going on for some time.. check out official sm website: www.smtown.com

lol. whenever they hold global auditions, the sm ppltry to go to places where there are a lot of korean ppl.--so like VA, NY, CA, GA n more. more details are in smtown.com

i'm worried too haha.
i hope they hold one in WA too..i don't think i would be able to fly to LA or NY. if you r auditioning this year, n SM holds it in WA, hope to see you there!

no...and yes.
i meant that every week, the judges pick 4 out of all that have auditioned and post it on the smtonw.com web. the people vote 1 out of 4 people and the remaining 3 people are eliminated. this process repeats with new contestants for another 3 weeks. at the end of the last week, the judges will pick 1 out of final 4 contestants and let them become a SM trainee.

this is IN korea. this is open to only people who live in korea. you wouldn't fly to korea to attend this audition, you'd just wait for the SM global audition each year its held.

yeah. I'm a little worried that it might not happen this year. But I really want it too, next year would be too late for me. I would be too old. But it does make sense that they are pretty busy this time: shinee, snsd & dbsk new album, expanding to china situations...sigh. I really hope they would hold it in washington. If they do an audition, I think it might be a short one. It would probably just be california and newyork and the other countries.

is that true? 1/4=25% of the auditioners in korea each week was accepted??? oh my... so like even if you're accepted and fly to korea, you might not even make it thru??
