UPDATE 3/31 - Message from the Peace Concert Organizers below:

Dear Peace Concert Customer,

On Saturday March 29, 2008, it will be announced to the public that the 2008 Peace Concert will be postponed to a future date, June 28, 2008. Please note, the concert is NOT cancelled. We anticipate the artist lineup for the Peace Concert will be the SAME, if not, even better; we will NOT downgrade the artists. The new confirmed list of artists will be posted on our website during the first week of May. The reason for this unexpected delay is due to the withdrawal of a major airlines company who we expected to sponsor this event. Initially, our concert required around 100 people including staff to fly in from Korea. However during the last few weeks, because we have added more performers and consequently more staff, we had increased the number of staff to 170. We apologize for this adjustment to our program and we hope that our guests will understand. We will be honoring the April 5th tickets for the new date. All guests who bought tickets for the 5^th will be compensated with a "gift" at the day of the concert. Please look for more benefits when we update our website. We will do everything in our power to bring you the best lineup possible and the greatest concert experience. Once again we apologize for the delay.

SOOMPI.com will be hosting an exclusive image contest and will be giving away THIRTY tickets to the Peace Concert! Submit a picture that let's you "Show Your Love for K-Pop!" - the perfect theme for SOOMPI (^_^)v - and then everyone votes for the winners.

How to Enter to Win:

"Show Your Love for K-Pop!" by creating an image that best expresses your love. It can be a photo, a collage, a drawing -- use your imagination! The only requirement is that you include the SOOMPI logo :D.

A special contest gallery is being created for this contest and entries can be uploaded starting March 1 till March 8th. Everyone here on SOOMPI.com will see it, so be creative!

Voting will begin on March 9th and go until March 19th. Only folks with registered SOOMPI accounts can vote, but you can invite your friends to sign-up on SOOMPI.com to vote for your photo. Get the most votes and win! On March 20th, the top 5 pictures with the most votes will receive four tickets each for the concert - make it a party with your friends:D The next 5 runner-ups will each receive a pair of tickets as well! Seats will be in Section 217, all of rows 11 and 12 (so you will be surrounded by your fellow SOOMPI fanatics!) Good luck everyone!!!

Rules

1. All entries must be either .jpg, .gif, or .png images, maximum size of 800x600.

2. When submitting entries, an image title will be required and a description will be optional.

3. Members can upload as many entries as they want during the contest entry period from March 1st to March 8th

4. All entries must contain the SOOMPI logo.

5. Voting will be open from March 9th to March 19th.

6. Members will be allowed to vote for five different entries each day during the voting perio.

7. Each "date" or "day" for submitting entries and voting is 12am to 11:59pm PST.

After submitting your entry, you will be able to invite your friends (SOOMPI members or not!) to come vote for your entry, but people new to SOOMPI will need to create an account to vote. To avoid the random creation of fake accounts to influence voting, we will be watching IP addresses for any funny business - we all play fair here!!! During the voting period, we will show the daily ranking of the entries by vote, but will not be displaying the vote counts.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q:Will we be providing airfare or hotel accommodations to the winners?
A: Sorry!! The contest is for concert tickets only!

Q: What kind of tickets are they?
A: Pink section ($70 each). Specifically, SOOMPI has the entire rows 11 & 12 in Section 217. It looks pretty nose-bleedy, but it's a college arena, so it's not crazy big like Madison Square Garden or Staples Center, and you'll be hanging with a bunch of fellow SOOMPI-ers!

Q: How will the tickets be distributed?
A: My guess is that they will be available at will-call, but we'll have to get back to you on that!

Q: How many tickets per winner?
A: The top 5 winners will receive 4 tickets each, and the next 5 winners will receive 2 tickets each - that's right, 10 winners!! It's going to be a SOOMPI party!

Q: Can the image be animated?
A: No, only static images for this contest, but we'll have plenty more for you to show off your skills!

Q: Where do I get the SOOMPI logo?
A: Here it is!! Right-click here to download. You can print it out and hold it as a sign in your photo, or you can resize and photoshop it into your image.

The Galen Center seating chart on this website are different from the Virtual Seating chart.

On the virtual seating chart for Galen Hall, there's a red section too. But on the pricing for the seats there's not a red section. Since I wanted section 116 (red area) I just wanted to know the price.

It doesn't matter what type of images you use to make the collage (jpg, png, gif, etc), but the final image needs to be web-browser compatible. I would recommend converting your final image to a good ole jpeg. There's a free online tool at www.picnik.com where you can convert images to any format you need.

It's not a requirement that your photo is in the image, but we would love to see your faces . From the contest so far, we've gotten a good variety of styles and messages - all of which are awesome so far!

the prize for winning is just the tickets for the concert and not airfare, transportation or anything like that. but, the top 5 winners will be getting 4 tickets EACH! which is a $280 value!

What seats or like section will the tickets be?

Cause if you cant already tell, i really really want to go and if i could get tickets to go the concert, i would be willing and able to pay to fly to California in April from NY...because ill be getting money in march, but obviously would have trouble getting tickets to go with no money at the moment...SO IM SO HAPPY FOR THIS OPPORTUNITY!! and as long as the tickets wont be like all the way in the back or something, a trip to Cali would be worth it, right? lol

- the rules state we can upload as many entries as we want. what will happen in the event that one user has multiple entries within the top 10? will the distribution of awards be affected?

hi! yes, we want to see you guys go crazy with your skills, but it doesn't have to be all photoshopped out either -- even a simple but clever camera-pic can be the winner!!

we'll be providing a copy of the SOOMPI logo for you to use as you wish (resized in your image, or printed out to hold as a sign), as well as complete details when we publish the official contest page.

and as julan stated below, the size will be 800x600 max.

you can give your picture any title you want:) we only have the "show your k-pop love" as a theme to guide and inspire the photo/image creation so have fun! it can be a picture ulzzang inspired, or regular pic, photoshopped or not, fan pic, anything!
