Losing 15 lbs.

Introduction

      I have decided to create a blog of my weight loss journey. I am not necessarily fat, but I am towards the softer side. This is purely my opinion of myself. Hopefully this blog can help encourage others to lead a healthier lifestyle.

       Throughout my entire life, I have almost always been the fatter one out of my circle of friends. There was once in my life, back in gr.10, where I had been dieting (some may call it starving) dramatically. In turn, I had lost 20 lbs the unhealthy way. I was weighing at roughly 100 lbs then, which isn't that skinny, but it had put my body out of whack. My period was gone for about 9 months, and my skin had a grey-ish tinge to it. Obviously, the weight came back easily (to the point where my body would be sore from the weight gain.) I was back up at 130, but had lost 5 lbs the healthy way. Here I am trying to lose 15 more lbs, putting me at a healthy weight of 110 lbs. Anyways, on to my stats.

Height: 5'4"/163 cm

Weight: 125 lbs/57 kg

Chest: 34 inches/38 cm

Waist: 25.5 inches/64 cm

Hips: 36 inches/91 cm

 

I will report my consumption and activity daily. The calorie amounts are from various websites such as calorie king and the daily plate. Every month I will post body pictures and new stats. Any comments about my regime is welcomed =)

 

Day 1

I will be working today, which makes dieting a lot harder since I work around sugary and fattening food (candy, cotton candy, fudge, burgers)

Breakfast: Oatmeal with egg whites (mixed with milk, not water) - 235 calories

Snack 1: 1 small banana - 60 calories

Lunch: President's Choice Blue Menu Linguine with Shrimp Marinara - 240 calories

Snack 2:  none

Dinner: 1 cup of broiled chicken breast (without the skin..a.k.a yummy goodness) and steamed veggies - 260 calories

Snack 3:  1cup of blueberries - 84 calories

Liquids:

Water - 0 calories

green tea(no sugar added) - 0 calories

1/2 cup of hot chocolate - 50 calories

Exercise: Turbo Jam - Punch, Kick and Jam. 500 calories

 

Total Calories: 932 

Net Calories: 432

Goal for tomorrow: Try to eat more.. 

 

Day 2

Worked again today. I didn't have a chance to make lunch to bring to work, so I decided to just bring a bunch of grapes. Ended up eating more calories today which is good. ^^

Breakfast: Oatmeal with egg whites (mixed with milk, not water) - 235 calories

Snack 1: none

Lunch: Grapes (1.5 cups) - 93 calories

Snack 2:  none

Dinner: Linguine with clams (1.5 cups) - 368 calories

Greek Salad (1/2 cup) -39 calories

Snack 3: 2Chocolate Rice Cakes - 120 cxalories

Liquids:

Water - 0 calories

green tea(no sugar added) - 0 calories

1 cup of hot chocolate - 100 calories

Exercise: Turbo Jam - Punch, Kick and Jam - 500

 

Total Calories: 1,020

Net Calories: 520

 

Day 3

Woo! No work <3 

Breakfast: Special K Satisfaction with1/2 cup of 1% milk - 310 calories

Snack 1: none

Lunch: Subway Italian BMT 6" - 450 calories (note...never order this again. It was a tuesday special for 2.99.. blah!)

Snack 2: 1.5 cups of strawberries

2 chocolate rice cakes - 120 calories

Dinner:

Snack 3

 

Exercise: 1 hour of hi-lo aerobics - 397 calories
