I just wanted to take this time to compare and evaluate the lovely boys of "You're Beautiful" and "Boys Over Flowers". There are definite similarities and differences between the characters, but this is just my two cents!
Feel free to express your opinions in agreement or disagreement!
Hwang Tae Kyung (Jang Geun Suk)
Ok firstly, his character is HILARIOUS. His OCD behavior, comical expressions, overly frank replies, and the model strut – he oozes cool but also succeeds in bringing humor to the script. Tae Kyung is always covering up and saving Mi Nam (Park Shin Hye), which makes him appear so sweet, although his facial expression may say otherwise…... Not only that, he also helps UEE (Yoo He Yi) in her time of need~ Truth be told, I was trying to convince myself to not like his character at first, as I was sure he would be the typical Main Character that can do no wrong. This part is still actually true…but I just can’t dislike him – he is too hilarious! So in conclusion, with every episode that comes out, he is winning points from me~
Goo Joon Pyo (Lee Min Ho)
This guy I also disliked at first. His character was somewhat boring, annoying and initially not that attractive. Once again, as I always do, I changed my mind XD. He turned out be a moderately comical guy with a big heart~ HOWEVER, he just did not have the X-factor for me. He was cool because he was Goo Joon Pyo - and when you’re the leader of a group of 4 legendary boys who are good at EVERYTHING – from turning up in situations to save the day (no matter what country you may be in...), to making time go slow with every entrance, being rich AND hot, and conveniently seem to have no other responsibilities but to look good – it makes it easier to seem so much better than others! With all these factors included, Goo Joon Pyo is definitely one of a kind character :D
I have to say that Hwang Tae Kyung is a winner for me. Personally, I am a sucker for comedy, and he is just too funny. Yes he wears a lot of make-up, at times dresses in very feminine attire, AND walks like he’s constantly on a catwalk, but it works for him~ And when you can have that much eyeliner on AND still bring humour on set, you truly are an artist in my books!

Yoon Ji Hoo (Kim Hyun Joong)
I’ll give him points for his hair. I am a fan of the ‘acorn’ hairstyle. But his character, not so much. He is nice, and always saving the day, but he loses points in 2 areas for me. 1. He is not funny – or possess any outstanding characteristics except for providing expressionless expressions. I lost interest in him with every episode, not that I dislike him, but just didn’t catch my attention. 2. Not my cup of tea in the looks department. or maybe I was just too busy perving on So Yi Jung (Kim Bum)......
Kang Shin Woo (Jung Yong Hwa)
He was my favorite from the beginning, and he still is! (Although Hwang Tae Kyung is catching up quickly!). As a side note, I was quite surprised to hear this was Jung Yong Hwa's first acting role, I really would not have guessed it. First if all, I like his look. He is the best looking of all the A.N.JELL members, and also has the most conventional personality. He is so so so sweet to Mi Nam! This is the guy of every girl’s dream to be admired by (it helps a lot if they look like him too…). He doesn’t beat around the bush, but also not too forward – just the happy medium. It’s really frustrating in dramas where the guy likes the girl, but never says anything and there are just scenes of him staring sadly…for like 10 episodes… But Kang Shin Woo was obviously committed to confessing – except that stupid Mi Nam is always screwing it up! Ahhhh, the drama is heading towards a match between Mi Nam and Tae Kyung….poor Shin Woo~
Overall, Kang Shin Woo for sure is my favorite of the four boys mentioned above! But seeing as I change my mind with EVERY episode, we will see if he is still my favorite by the end of the series! Once again, this is only my opinion! Feel free to comment about your own thoughts and opinions~

BoF was fun but I find the plot really awful (same goes for Hana Yori Dango manga/anime/drama). I'm not like an uber-feminist but I find the way the F4 treated the girl absolutely horrifying. Using bullying as an in-road into romance just doesn't sit comfortably with me anyways.

It has a great plot line and I love it, it's got me laughing at many scenes, as well as crying :)
Every episode has a scene at the end where it makes you want MORE of YAB!
This drama gets me hooked onto it for hours...and hours, to the point where I'm obsessed with the drama xD
This definitely deserves #1 on my list ;)
JGS + PSH <3

I've been huge fan of Hana yori Dango since very long long time ago. But BoF was somewhat like the big fail for Hana yori fan I guess. This drama is overrated afterall
