Hey Soompiers,
We've been hard at work these past few weeks going through all your feedback and trying to make the site better. Here are some of the new features and fixes that we have been rolling out!
Privacy
- You can now block people from "following" you. Go to your profile, click "Followers", then select the person you want to block.
- You can also choose to opt out of the recently added member email search that we mentioned in a previous blog entry. Go to your profile, click on "Settings", then click "Preferences" to opt out of the email search.
- You no longer have to follow a person to post a comment in his/her cafe.
- You now have the ability to delete any comments made in your own cafe.
PMs
- PM tracking is back! Remember to have the "Track this message" box selected when sending a PM. This way you can find out if a PM you sent was read by your recipients or not.
- You can now see the number of unread PMs you have while visiting the forum.
- The storage limit has also been restored to former settings. "Regular" members have a 200 message capacity, while FOS members have a 500 message capacity.
Status Updates
- You can now comment on and "like" people's status updates.
How To Track Topics
Some members have been asking how to track topics on the forum automatically. It's really easy to use and helpful to see if a topic you are following has had activity since you last checked.
First you got to a topic that you want to follow, and then click the gray box in the top right that says "Options" and click "Track This Topic".
After that, you can easily find that topic. By clicking on "My Controls" on the top right, then selecting "View Topics" under the Subscription bar.

That happened to me and someone told me to delete some old and unneeded PMs (you don't have to delete all) and it fixes the problem.
