Welcome To F.T Island Fan Club

Korea’s new generation group, F.T Island (FT 아일랜드) is a intrumental band conisist of five talented teenagers.

The new boy band of 5 individuals F.T Island (Five Treasure Island) is the "Handsome band." From 16 to 18 years old, they debuted to the pop industry with their debut album title "Love Sick."

Their songs feature rock, ballade and medium tempo; they present very mature sensibility and warm the heart of their fans. In response to being complimented as the "Handsome band," they say, "thank you, but we'd like to be evaluated on our music rather than on our looks."

Although they are new, there aren’t many teens that do not know of them. For two months since last march, they appeared on music channel Mnet's "Wanna be my boyfriend?" and caught the eyes of numerous girl fans. Soon after the premiere of the show, the number of their fan cafe members exceeded 1 million. When they finally debuted as musicians and as the band on the 27th last month, all 2000 seats were filled with fans. Their first fan signing held at Busan on the 17th gathered about 5000 fans and created a heck of a crowd.

For the first time on the 8th of last month, they took the 10th place on "Naver - Search Ranking for Korean pop stars." Then on the 16th, they rose without stopping to the 1st place. On the same day, they also took the top spot on "Naver -Daily Search Ranking for Persons." A serious air is perceived by everyone on and off line. When met in Seoul for an interview on the 12th, they were shadowed by a herd of female fans. Fans in their earlier twenties were all smiles even by looking at the handsome youngsters. It seemed as FT Island was already on the stardom.

You cannot enter pop industry with only a handsome face. Grouped in 2005, the members spent 2 years training. "From boarding together, our cooking skill improved as much as our singing skill. Minhwan (drum), the youngest, is best at cooking rice and Hongki (Vocal) is better at making soup," smiled the band. Trained like that, they have polished their individual talents to become true to their band name "Five Treasure." Through their first stage appearance on the MBC "Music Core" on the 16th, public's interest towards them is rocketing.

Their debut album notes the cooperation by both Japanese producers and musicians. FT Island is planning to perform globally, including in Japan. Seeing how their eyes are already scanning the world, the global publication of their songs is also possible

Their music is really good, i don't consider them a "boy band" or "teen band" even though they are all teenagers. I think their music has a very wide appeal not just to teen girls, but to everyone. The fact that they actually play, write, and compose their own music is also a unique and admirable fact.

Extremely talented Group

First rock/ballad group that got me into heheh. I was never found of drums, guitar, base, music type, but after hearing FT ISLAND, that changed my whole perspective.
