In Their Own WordsIN THEIR OWN WORDS ![]() Courtesy BOBLOG-breaking the borders by Robert Allan Ackerman our thanks to a Japanese BH angel for the highlight 2008-01-31 20:24:41 The last time I was in Tokyo I went to see Lee Byung Hun's concert. I was sitting in the front row. It was really fun. I went backstage to meet him after because I've been talking to him about doing a play in Korea and then bringing that play to Japan. He's such a nice guy. He's very smart and easy to talk to. He speaks perfect English. I think it would be great to work with him. Once when I was driving in my car in Beverly Hills, I saw him on the street. I wanted to stop to say hello but it was impossible. When I told him about that incident he was so surprised that I recognized him. I told him that I had seen many of his movies. He was really happy and surprised. 2008-02-15 00:20:29I got a message from Lee Byung Hun's cousin who also works as his manager, that they're in LA and they wanted to meet for dinner. But I'm in Tokyo so I guess dinner will have to wait. His cousin's name is Charles and he looks a bit like Lee Byung Hun. He's a very nice guy who went to college in America and speaks English like an American. I would guess that they come from a lovely family. They are both very warm and friendly and they are both really intelligent. Lee Byung Hun told me that he was so nervous when he had to go onstage for his concert. He forgot his dance steps and he messed up a bit on the piano. He felt so embarrassed but he said it was because he felt so scared about being on stage in front of a live audience. He said he knew how to do all those things perfectly well but once he hit the stage, everything went out of his head. I assured him that it didn't matter at all. I told him that he seemed very poised and that his charm and warm personality endeared the audience to him and that we were all totally won over by him. I think he's a wonderful actor. I especially liked him in ADDICTED, that's the English title. I don't know for sure what it is in Japanese. I think he'd be great on stage. And I know it would be exciting to work with him. I suggested a play to him that I think he'd be very powerful in. Sorry, but I can't say now what it is. Any guesses? Credits
MARK RUSSELL OF KOREA POP WARS December 2006 At any rate, I would like to mention that every time I have met Lee Byung-hun, he has always been very suave, mellow and a gentleman. I cannot claim to be friends with him or know him well, but he strikes me as being one of the good guys. http://www.koreapopwars.com/2006/12/korea-weekend-box-office-dec-1-3.html |
