Fan Meet in Japan - 60,000 tickets sold out

Korean Star, Lee Byung Hun will be holding his fan meet in the form of concerts in Tokyo, Osaka, Nagoya and Fukuoka from the 15 to 28 of this month. A total of 60,000 tickets were all sold out, indicating Lee Byung Hun’s super-popularity in Japan.

Lee Byung Hun has just recently finished he shooting for “The Good, The Bad and The Weird” in China, and is currently filming “I Come with the Rain” in Hong Kong.

According to Lee Byung Hun’s management company, Lee will be singing again in this coming fan meet, presenting to his Japanese fans with OST from the dramas. In the Tokyo Dome fan meet May last year, Lee had sang and was well accepted by the Japanese fans.

There will be altogether 7 concerts held for this year's Japanese fan meet, each about 2 hours. Lee Byung Hun has put in a lot of preparation for this event and he has specially arranged to have some singing practice sessions together with Shin Seung Hoon.

On 15 Nov, 37-year old Hallyu star, Lee Byung Hun held the first leg of his Arena Tour Concerts in Osaka. The venue was jammed with more than 12,000 fans and the wonderful performance has given the Japan Arena Tour a perfect start.

On that day, LBH played the piano, he played “Love Theme”, the OST from the movie “Cinema Paradiso”, which has filled the venue with romantic atmosphere. When LBH read a letter with his low voice, some of the fans could not control their feelings and had tears rolling down their cheeks.

Lee Byung Hun swept Japan with Arena Tour

Lee Byung Hun ended the first of his Arena Tour event with a glamorous ending. On 15 November, Lee Byung Hun started the first of his Arena Tour on the four major cities, Osaka, and it was a successful start with 12,000 fans participating.

Following the Tokyo Dome Fan Meet last year in which 45,000 fans have attended, the activities for this Arena Tour were scrupulously planned by Japanese best performer, Mr Yasushi Akinmoto who is the chief director for this event.

This time LBH’s fan meet would be done in various lively performances with 14 big truckloads of stage equipments and excellent substance to be presented. The large-scale activities will surmount any common fan-meeting event.

Using the “11 of Lee Byung Hun” as the concept in planning this Arena Tour, the starting till the end of this debut performance make one connect himself to the World Class Las Vegas show of unique performance which will seized the fans.

In the 2½ hr of his solo performance, BH caught the attention of his fans with constant changes and different appearances, as there were no special guest stars.

This event once again confirmed Lee Byung Hun’s status as Asian Super star. He is currently filming “I Come With The Rain” and also at the final stage of filming “The Good, the Bad and the Weird”. At the same time, he is constantly receiving invitations from enthusiastic Hollywood and overseas producers for new projects.

For the opening show in Osaka on the 15th, Lee performed 2 hour and 30 minute worth of magnificent transformation on stage reminding the Las Vegas shows that suited under the theme of the show, ‘11 characters of Lee’ and aroused admiration of 12 thousand something female fans. Weaving his way on stage without any appearance of guest stars, Lee stood out especially when he played the romantic ‘Love Theme’, a musical score from the movie ‘Cinema Paradiso’ in front of a grand piano. In the preparation for the show, he continued rehearsing in front of the piano for 2 sleepless weeks. Lee’s circle of other Korean wave stars caught the audience’s eyes as well. Top stars like Kwon Sang-Woo, Jung Woo-Sung, Won Bin and others congratulated on Lee’s Arena Tour through a form of short movie clips, feasting the people’s eyes.

With 8 months preparation period and one of the top Japanese stage producers, Akimoto Yatsushi’s supervision, not to mention a grand stage set assisted by big 14 buses, the first time ever Arena tour by a Korean wave star gave a taste of breakthrough experiment in performance.
