Wow, new thread! Tsk, i've been so "outdated", hasn't come to the SuJu thread for quite some time adee o(>< )o!


Would just like to know, is anyone going to join "E.L.F."? I've heard that the new membership term is up!

As much as i love SuJu, i really don't know if i should join, because its kinda costly for me, and i plan to go for their first concert later this year actually (If it'll be held, just rumours for now ne?).
Are there any current "E.L.F" members who can advise me as to whether should i join or not ? Thanks alot (^^ )!~

Oh wow, it's the new thread already! This is exciting.

I love the new preview of the song Success. So evidently, Yesung gets most of the chorus lines. I so love that! I think his voice is great for the song! But I am biased, haha.

And I saw the pics one of you took with Yesung! Wow. That is so cool! He must be really nice and handsome in person, right?

Finally, after so long~
i'm watching the chinese show Hankyung is on.
i'll try translating a few parts that Carolyn didn't mention and i thought were cute:

at one point, the host asked Hankyung if he went through any major changes throughout the past 4 years and he said it was probably only his image that changed in the viewers' eyes and he's actually still the same guy from before.

he says during his audition there were about 2000-3000 people present.

Host: Did you think you stood a chance? A chance to be picked.
Hankyung: I didn't really think about it.
Host: you didn't even think about it and yet you joined! It can't be true.
Hankyung: it's true! At that time, I just accompanied a friend there to try our luck. To see if we would get chosen to become a singer, dancer or an actor.
Host: Was your friend the one who dragged you there with him?
Hankyung: Yes.

Host: Ah you see! it's another old-fashioned story (she meant frequently used if i'm not wrong). always the FRIEND.
Hankyung: *Laughs*
Host: how come it's always the friend who gets the one eventually picked to go?
Hankyung: *Starts to explain but host cuts in*
Host: Wait let me guess - your friend didn't get chosen in the end?

Hankyung: I didn't have any feelings. it was just like any auditon. they asked me to dance so I did. then they asked me to dance again so i did. after that, they told me they were gonna put on random music and told me to dance again so i said, "okay, i'll dance again". then they told me to sing and i was thinking, "sing?" because i was taught how to dance from young. never really done any singing before. so i was wondering, "what do i do?" finally, i said, "I'll sing yue liang dai biao wo de xin" (A really old chinese song, The moon represents my heart, that most chinese people are familiar with)

Host: Really?
Hankyung: yes!
Host: *teasingly* did you sing it well?
*Hankyung laughs while the audiences chorus: YES!*
Hankyung: *stops laughing* I think it was...not good.

-Studio erupts in laughter again-


Oh yes, the host also asked Hankyung's manager the reasons why Hankyung was chosen and he said there were four main points:

Manager: First of all, his singing wasn't bad. *Laughs* The second reason is because his dancing was already good and he had a pretty good foundation for it. the third point is because...he's very good looking. ^^ and the last point is because of his character/personality. at that time, we could somehow feel that Hankyung was a very kind and good-hearted person and his personality was not bad.
Host: How could you tell his personality then?
Manager: Just by talking to him, we could sense it. We've witness loads of other auditions so we somehow know.

Host: Oh so he seemed like a very loyal child, am i right?
Manager: yes he was just, different from the rest. he gave us the impression that he was very nice, didn't put up an arrogant front and did not carry any certain 'air' around him (the kind of proud airs some kinda people have). all these qualities are what our company looks out for in our artistes and hence, we decided on choosing him in the end.
Host: Okay. I bet Hankyung didn't know he had so many good points then!
Hankyung: he has never told me all that before!

the reason geng wore a mask to mnet perf was because of the rule that a foreign artiste can only sign on to 3 broadcast stations and a day before the m.net perf during rehearsal, the manager told geng he needs to go to the embassy to settle some paperwork and pay fine for whatever magazines, shows and performances he did and appeared on. the manager mentioned that might be his last performance in korea and he was T-T on the way to the embassy.

and so he thought of the mask plan with his manager and that was the mnet performance we saw on tv.
