Charlene is a really cute actress from Hong Kong. She debuted at the age of 18 in 2000 as a actress, than she debuted as a singer in the most popular Hong Kong band TWINS at 19, and is the youngest female ever to hold a concert in Hong Kong Colisuem. In her short 7 years in the singing industry and 9 years in the movie industry, she has already made over 30 movies, 3 series. Not to mention in the "Twins". Currently working on the movie industry.

Charlene was born in Vancouver, Canada. However her family moved back to Hong Kong a year later. She currently resides in Kowloon. Her height is 5'5".
Charlene studied at a number of different institutions. She attended Marymount Secondary School. In the year 1998, due to her poor academic result and conduct, she was transferred to Rosaryhill School for her studies. In the year 2001, after completed her F.5 studies, she started to become a full-time model in Hong Kong.

In 2001, she was offered to form the Emperor Entertainment Group musical group Twins with Gillian Chung (colloquially known as Gill). Choi since then has been come to known as Charlene, or simply Ah-Sa. In the beginning of twins, there have always been rumors of the two not getting along, mostly because of difference between the two's characters. Gillian was always thought of as the more conservative, and quiet one, while Charlene was the more talkative and outgoing type of character. After 3 or 4 years together, they both had time off and had arranged to go to Taiwan together. After spending so much more stress free time together, they really got to know each other a lot better, and the two have now become best friends. Now after being in the group for over 6 years, twins have announced numerous times that they do not want to be apart, and really enjoy being with each other despite the fact that their management company EEG had suggestions of having the two have solo careers. Twins is now still just as popular as before and have been continuing producing lots of records and movies, and are two of the most successful artists of EEG. Gillian is filming a television series in mainland China, so Charlene has been separated from her for many months now, with many to come, and has been somewhat doing solo acts on TV appearances.

I like CHarlene. I know most guys prefer Gill cus she's the more feminine one, but I like charlene's personality better And she is so fun to watch on screen. I loved her on Twins Effect, that scene where Edison was trying to break up with her cus he's a vampire was hilarious!

No offense, but have you seen all her movies?

Unfortunately, she gets type-casted a lot and I think that has a lot to do with EEG. But she's had some good roles that shows she CAN act. One of her first roles, Funeral March, showed that the young Charlene had a lot of promise as an actress. But after that came a slew of silly comedic roles for several years that, although I love them and they are very fun to watch, don't get to really display one's acting ability. But her more recent roles, in films like Diary and Siml Actors, have deserved a lot of recognition from critics and deservingly so.

Same with Gil, although I thought Gillian did not begin her career in acting with very much raw talent, she is a smart girl and a quick learner, and is quite wonderful now. She was awesome in Beyond Our Ken. I need to see some of her more recent films...but Naraka 19 looks great.

As for music, well, I don't think EEG ever intended to market Twins on their singing abilities alone. And quite frankly, I don't care. I love their voices and theiur songs all the same, and despite them not having the best of abilities in that area, the are still really fun to watch and listen to, and are entertaining.

I think it is easy to hate on Twins because EEG makes it so easy. But sometimes, you have to take a deeper look before you can really judge a persons talent. Marketing has worked against Twins in that area, because as long as they are making money, EEG doesn't see the need to push them to new levels. I think, once their contract ends, the HK audience will get to know who Twins REALLY are, and how much they DO have to offer.

but seriously, I love Charlene XD She's been my role model for over 3 years aha I saw a picture of Twins on a calender and I immediately noticed Ah Sa To me, she's just got this charm and it's very appealing and she has so much charisma. I've always liked her more than Gillian though.. I just love everything about this girl! Especially her smile her smile is so natural and pretty & also she has niceeeee legs.

Even though she's not the best singer... it's enough to satisfy me.. Charlene is really dedicated to her work.. Her singing has improved so much since she first debuted.. & her live singing has improved too.

I love all her movies ! lols I don't care if they're the no-plot-nonsense-comedy films ! At least she makes me laugh and her role is believable but yeah, I'd like to see her in more serious films. i LOVED Diary !
