Guest toonaxseven
Okay, well this Christmas break, I'm going to New York with my family. It's the first time any of us have gone to New York, and we have no idea what we want to see and where we want to go. So if you live around the New York-ish area, and now any good places where there are LOTS of brand name clothes at a cheap price of course, (hollister, abercrombie & fitch, etc.) or any tourist attractions such as museums, please please please please tell me! It would really help my family plan what we're going to do there. And if you could like include a brief description of where it is, what it's called and what it has. Thanks ALOT! Oh and any really yummy korean restaurants Oh, and attractions in Boston too!
Guest Prot
Check out this website: http://nycvisit.com/ Not really such a thing as cheap brand names unless you wait for sales. You are better off going to an outlet instead. Museums would be: Art: http://www.guggenheim.org/new_york_index.shtml http://www.moma.org/ http://www.metmuseum.org/home.asp http://www.brooklynmuseum.org/ Other: http://www.amnh.org/ http://www.intrepidmuseum.org/ (just reopened) Aquarium: http://www.nyaquarium.com/
Guest jiwoneex3
So I'm assuming New York City? The places I love: -Madame Tussauds (234 West 42nd Street, between 7th and 8th Avenues, Times Square): also known as the wax museum. i pretty much go there every year and take pictures with celebrity wax figures. It's fun. Also, there are many people who give out those mini-coupons on the streets. So please make sure you get one! It's so much cheaper. -Central Park: I remember just going there with my family a few years back and just taking walks around the whole place and having a picnic on the grass. I really dislike walking or spending time in nature, but I enjoyed Central Park. (: It's beautiful and very well-known. -Rockefeller Center: It's tradition for my family to come here every year and take pictures with the huge Christmas tree. It's really beautiful and only so many of tourists come visit it. And if you'd like, there's also a skating rink right there (but lines are really long). -The Empire State Building: I've been there multiple times and I can't choose whether you should go visit during daytime or at night. Because in the daytime, it's very fun going all the way to the top and when you look down at all the people, they literally look like ants. It's cute. But at night, it's so beautiful, since all the building lights are on. Either way, it's a great place to take pictures. (and there's this mini 3-D ride called the Skyrider? it's so much fun.) -Abercrombie&Fitch: (720 Fifth Avenue) It's near southstreet seaport. I've never been there but always wanted to! You can also take a picture with of the hot A&F models for a $1 i think? And there aren't any Hollister stores yet in NYC right now.

Guest mz simmonz
^ great suggestions. As much as I detest touristy spots, I can't resist 5th Avenue (Rockefeller Center & vicinity) during Christmas..it's just breathtaking. NYC pulls off the chic Christmas thing so well lol. Oh and take a walk into St. Patrick's Cathedral while you're in the area, it's so lovely and humbling. Korean restaurants? I'm not Korean but I do enjoy (as do my Korean friends) Kunjip (famously rude service lol) and Woorijip (more of a little sit-in pick your own food joint) both on W.32nd Street. In Queens, I like BCD (it's a chain) on Northern Blvd. My Korean friends love Ham Ji Bak but I'm not a huge fan. p.s. you might like skating around @ The Rink in Bryant Park or Wolman's Rink in Central Park.
