*exclusive wonderbang valentine oneshot. i won't post this anywhere else.

There are millions of things you can do on singles awareness day. Otherwise known as Valentines Day. me? I sit at my usual everyday café, sip my coffee and read a book. Okay no I sip coffee and watch other couples. Let me tell you, valentines day is like a live Korean drama. I’ve seen everything possible in that café. It was afternoon and I was ready to laugh.

One of the most memorable things I’ve seen on valentines day? this girl breaking up with this really hot guy for some ugly dude. Honestly I’m not trying to be mean, but it was like leaving Dong Bang Shin Ki for…a trot singer. I was in shock and I remember the guy being too, because his mouth was as wide as the ocean when he saw his girlfriend leave with a man 100 times heavier than him.

I chuckled, it was such a funny memory, I wonder what ever happened to that guy…

SCREECH.

Ei? I opened my eyes to see mr. Hot guy who got broken up with sitting in front of me. Whoa…he cut his hair, I have excellent memory by the way, and now he was slightly bald…but beautiful. He was wearing a white cap tilted to the side of his head. He had a wifebeater on that showed all of his muscles…not that I was staring…he looked up at me and I blinked.

“this seat is open right?” he wasn’t even looking at me when he asked -__-.

“Eung but I-” I was about to ask him to go since I wanted to watch all the funny valentine scenes to myself when the door chimed and in came his ex-girlfriend with the overweight boyfriend. She must be a really nice person, or something because it wasn’t that he didn’t look nice…it was that he didn’t seem like a nice person either. He was frowning.

“sshh!” hot cap guy put his hand over my mouth. O_O “ I’m Youngbae by way.”

“Sunye” I managed to say through muffles.

“right so SunYe ah help me today.” He may be hot but he was crazy. Did he even know that I didn’t know him?

“Yah!”

“YOUNGBAE AH?” crap too late I saw the slight frown turn into a giant smile when he heard his name called from his ex girlfriend with her ape of a boyfriend.

“OHH! Yumi? You’re here? What a surprise!” O_o…I stared at him this way until he kicked me under the table.

“Yeah, me and Jinho here were going to just get some drinks then get dinner. This is such a strange coincidence!” this girl…was kinda dense. Her boyfriend was coughing and sighing and basically roaring to leave in subtleness while she flirted on and on with this Youngbae guy and honestly I couldn’t help but watch.

“Yeah…whose that?” she pointed at my area and I turned around. Who was she talking about.

“Oh her!” I got kicked under the table again. “this is my girlfriend. Sunye.” My face wasn’t the only one shocked. The Yumi girl’s face was shocked too. The jinho guy looked elated.

“…Girlfriend?” she squeaked.

“GIRLFRIEND?” I roared ish.

“Oh honey!” he grabbed my hand. I couldn’t deny electricity, until he started squeezing my hand hard. “yeah…she’s my girlfriend.”

“Oh…” the Yumi girl suddenly looked confused.

“Haha oh Youngbae man! That’s great! You should definitely come with me and Yumi here to dinner tonight with Sunye sshi” figures the first time I hear the whale talk its about dinner.

“Well that sounds-” I tried to cut in but was stopped.

“GREAT! Lets meet up for a double date tonight! How about we meet up at this café at seven then decide where to eat?” the guy…he could win an Oscar.
“Great!” after him and Jinho talked out details with a speechless Yumi and me getting cut off every single time we were left alone.

“YAH. Are you crazy?” I just wanted to watch a show but somehow I became apart of it.

“Thanks Sunye, see you tonight? Dress nicely.” My eyes were widening as he started to walk off.

“YAH! Who says I’ll come!? I don’t even know you!” I started shouting at him but he was already almost out the door.

“You’ll come, your one of those girls who help people they don’t know.” And with that he winked and left me with the bill to the coffee he drank.

Yes I was one of those people who helped people they didn’t know but never did I think, being a pretend girlfriend would ever be one of them. Isn’t my life peaches?

I sat down in my usual café seat dolled up just a bit when I kept seeing all these balloons being brought in. Valentines day is like a parade, I watched as one by one balloons were coming into the store. It was exactly 6:59 when the door chimed and in came Youngbae.

He was…hot.

“You look pretty.” He handed me a dozen roses. Great, my first batch of red roses on Valentines Day, from a pretend boyfriend. Yoobin would love this.

“so…shouldn’t their be a Barbie and a whale in here by now?” it was 7:10.

“Nope.”

“What?”

“Nope.”

“Right could you explain the nope?”

“I cancelled with them.” He strummed his fingers and eyed the waiters while I was in shock.

“YAH! Then why am I here?” stupid hot guy, just because he was hot he thought he could do anything.

“Because.” He motioned his fingers as a signal that I wasn’t paying attention to.

“Because what?”

“Because, I want to have a date with you.” And with that red hearted balloons started surrounding me via the waiters and that was when I noticed we were the only two in the café.

“but-”

“One year ago I saw you. And you saw me right?

I nodded.

“well, I just wanted to know if the girl I saw that day was the same one I was gonna have a dinner with tonight.” He smiled…aish so hot.

“why did you want to know?” I was puzzled while the balloons came getting in the way of his face.

“Because.” He shoved a balloon out of the way. “ I want you as my girlfriend.”

Then he reached for my hand. Maybe the pretend part wouldn’t be so pretend after tonight.

He had been walking around in the mall for a few hours, entering random stores and hiding to make sure his eyes weren’t playing tricks on him. They weren’t. She had been following him since he got off the train. Truthfully, he didn’t really mind. He has an... interest in her. Scratch that. He likes her.

She walked into the music store and saw him... again. Today must be her unlucky day. Seeing him in the train. In the mall. In every store she went in. And now in her paradise. Where there are music instruments no matter what direction you turn to. Her plan to stay there long was cancelled.

Picking up Beethoven Sonatas for Piano from the music sheet section, she quickly head to the counter to pay and leave the store before he realized she’s there.

Turning around, she gasped.

Ah, trust Kwon Jiyong to surprise her every time.

“You’ve been following me since I got of that train,” he said calmly to her.

Scoffing, Min Sunye answered him, “Yes, I’m following you.” Walking past him, “And now I’m going. Goodbye.”

She was walking on the empty pavement, heading for the park. It may be only a park, and a man made one at that, but the sight there is beautiful. And that is proven by the amount of amateur painters and photographers trying to capture the beauty.

Slightly skipping, she hummed to herself on the way to the park.

Not realizing that someone had just threw away a banana peel in front of her, Sunye slipped on it. Her sonata album flew away from her hand, landing in a puddle of water at the road, near the pavement.

“Ow!”

She could hear laughter coming from behind her.

“YOU! Why are you following me?!” She shouted at him. “And stop laughing!”

Between his laughter, he answered her. “I’m not following you. I just happen to be walking on this very same pavement.”

He held his hand out to Sunye, who looked at him and his hand before taking it. He helped her up.

A car zoomed by too close to the pavement and drove over her sonata album.

“My Beethoven!”

She muttered incoherently on how he brought bad luck to anyone who’s unlucky enough to breathe in the same air as him.

“Why are you still laughing?” She glared at him.

“I swear I’m dying of laughter here.” He looked at her, as if she was something humourous.

“And yet you still look as healthy and good as ever. Not dying.” She grumbled.

Picking up her ruined Beethoven sonata album, she walked away from him in quick steps.

He took a deep breath, trying to keep his laughter down. Seeing her getting further and further away from him made him walk faster.

Falling into steps with her, he asked, “Where are we going?”

“Where are we going? Where I’m going, you don’t need to be there. So go away.”

She walked faster.

Ah, the park. She smiled.

“The park?” he asked her incredulously. “Is there nowhere else to go?”

Her smile died down.

“I didn’t ask you to follow me, you stalker.”

She tripped again. Over her own feet. Luckily enough, Jiyong has a fast reflex.
Getting back on her own feet, she hit Jiyong with her ruined Beethoven album on the shoulder.

“You bring bad luck to people, you know that?!”

“Sunye, Sunye... I just saved you from kissing the ground. If anything, you should be thanking me.”

His hands and arms still tingled where they touched her.

“What does it take to make you not disturb me?” she asked him, desperately wanting him to go away. She had embarrassed herself in front of him twice today.

“Let’s play a game,” he suggested playfully.

“A game? What are we? Six?” She looked at him funny. “That’s it? And you won’t disturb me?”

“Yes. That’s it.”

“What happens if I lose and you win?” She asked him.

“If I win, you have to be my girlfriend.”

She gaped at him.

He smirked.

“And if I lose, I will be your boyfriend.”

He pushed her jaw up to close her mouth.

She looked at him as if he’s being ridiculous.

She sputtered, “What... That... You... Jiyong!”

He shook his head. “I’m being serious, here”

“But you’ll win either way!”

A thought popped up to her. “Wait... fine. We’ll play the game.”

“You sure?” He looked... excited.


“Yes. If you become my boyfriend... I can always dump you, right?” she smirked at him, following his earlier expression.

“You won’t, trust me,” he told her, confidently.

She challenged him, “Oh really? How do you know?”

He reached out and put his hands on her waist. He puller he closer. Cupping her face, he tilted his head and met her lips with his. She automatically stood on her tip toes, her hands wrapped themselves around his neck. It was slow and soft at first. But when she didn’t pull away, he pressed her closer to him. One of his hands moved gently to her neck, sending her shivers where he had touched. He pulled her up slightly, to deepen the kiss.

“Ahem,” someone coughed. “This is a park. Where you bring your family. Not make them.”

Sunye was the first to break away. She smiled sheepishly to the lady that had interrupted them.

When the lady walked away, Sunye turned to face Jiyong.

“You’re right.” She looked at him, almost shyly. “I won’t dump you.”
