joonieballoonie: I absolutely love the red dress you posted. I've been looking for it for like 2340384 years, but no luck sad.gif

hpnotiq: jovani makes a dress kinda sorta like the red one, except with a bow on it:

joonieballoonie: i wanted that dress to be my prom dress as well after i saw beyonce wear it for her dreamgirls oscar performance. i was going to make it by myself but the whole bust part seemed so complicated and i am scrambling for time. but there are lots of dresses that look similar to it except for the unique bust part. the blue one that lilazngtc8 posted is gorgeous and it does look similar as well.

prom is tomorrow and i'm still not finished with my dress. ahhh. everything is so last minute and all of my dates are so nonchalant about the whole thing while i'm freaking out on how to find a ride.

this year i spent way too much money on the whole thing. my ticket costs a little less than my shoes/dress/bag combined and i'm using my owned money instead of my parents.

i'm going to do my eyebrows and nails right now. and also i'm thinking about using my new epilator under my arms...i finally put batterries in that thing and i'm scared. ahahaha ph34r.gif

I'm thinking of getting this...is it too simple? Compared to all the other dresses with rhinestones and embellishments, it looks a little plain.

Sometimes the simplest dresses stand out the most. If everyone wears dresses with rhinestones and embellishments, your simple dress will stand out because it's different.

I remember last year at prom, my friend wore a red dress with no rhinestones and she really stood out in our crowd.

simple is classy, so don't think of it as just being "plain." i'm sure you'll look beautiful in that dress.

i think i'm going to be getting this dress, but in black.

Alexia Admor
it was around $200~$300?
Do you think this is appropriate for prom? I was going to get it in white

but black, like you can wear it anywhere.

I'm hoping i'd be able to wear this anytime after prom too

lilaznqtc8: thanks for your help smile.gif but yeah I've actually seen those dresses. I really like the blue one, but the price tag on that is like $700. It's waaay to much for me. But thanks for your help. I appreciate it!

la pomme: it's a really cute dress! I think it would work for prom smile.gif

hpnotiq: really? biggrin.gif yay. that's good. it's like a cocktail dress so i thought it might not be the typical prom dress. but i really liked it.

^ Well it's not the typical prom dress since the typical one is usually a gown. But I personally think it's beautiful! You may want to check the fabric though. It looks kinda thin, which wouldn't be too prom-like.

This is my prom dress for this year. The light color makes me look a bit wide... and it's just from windsors, but it's not my senior prom and I think it'll do smile.gif

Honestly, I've seen extremely similar dresses to this at Forever21.
It is a cute dress, but not worth the $ and not formal enough for Prom (compared to the other long/satiny gowns). Homecoming, maybe :/ Otherwise you would have to really wow with your hair or something so you won't stand out of the crowd as 'under dressed'.

the material is actually satiny & lacy near the bottom. that was a bad picture though.
