I got this for $21. Is it okay for prom? Reminds me of a short wedding dress :|

That looks fine for prom. Just make sure you accessorize and have a gorgeous hair style. =]

I wanted to go to an outlet to get my dresses..since I'm going to two proms and I don't want to spend too much.
Does anyone know nice outlets near LA?

^ Iunno if Ventura is near LA, but there are outlets there! Theres a bcbg outlet, saks fifth, and betsey johnson I believe? They're all in the same plaza/square. I don't live down there, but I went to it before.

Sooo, I got my dress and now I need shoes. Where is everyone getting their shoes? Besides ALdo, macy's, nordstroms...>__<" Any suggestions?

the thing is...my date is not even an inch taller than me xDD

ooo. that sucks. i feel your pain as im also pretty damn tall for an asian girl so im pretty much doomed next yr for prom.
i think you should wear some small heels (probably no more than 2 in.) for pictures and stuff since they look tons hotter than flats but switch to flats once you go get on the dance floor. it doesnt look THAT awkward when the girls not too much taller than the guy.

if you're mean enough, you can totally torture and embarrass your date by making him wear height inserts like the super junior guys. biggrin.gif

i already bought a prom dress, but it only comes in size 3/4 as the smallest. so i bought it and plan on getting it altered to fit me. the problem is, how much do you think it would cost? i bought my dress from macys and the cashier person said that to get it altered, its going to cost a lot. so i'm not suree. i know for last year when i went to prom with my date, i bought my dress from my date's auntie it was a size 5. she helped me altered it to a fit me [i'm around size 1-2] but that dress was a simple knee high tube dress. so it was easy to alter. but for this prom dress, its a halter that crosses at the back. the chest part is a bit big for me and its long too. i'm just not sure if i should go alter it at my friend's auntie's place or go to actual tailor shop to alter it. so the question is, will it be expensive? have any of you altered your dress at a professional tailor shops? how much did it cost you and what kind of prom dress was it?

I got my prom dress...but I'm not sure if I want to wear it.

I'm 5'4" ~ 5'5" and I got a short dress, it hits right above my knee. I'm afraid I might be too tall for it, and I'm considering of getting a longer dress. =/

Thanks!
I'm pretty sure you can get this dress at Macy's, but I didn't get it there. I got mine at this event/program that gave out free prom dresses for girls around the area. ^^U
But I went to Macy's later on, and I saw my dress there, but in a diff color. It's also on the Macy website.

I like purple!

Such a pretty color!

I like the 2nd dress =]
I tried on a dress like that before, as long as ur skinny and tall, u dont really need mad big boobs to pull it off =]

The dress will make ur body tone, slim, and long =D

fu yuen
I dont think that dress really compliment ur curves =(
May be a long dress to elongate ur height and ur body? =]
