I remember trying this out in the fitting room and really really loving it. It's a simple Jessica McClintock short dress, but it was sooo adorable! Didn't get it though...since prom had passed a looooooooooong time ago. Just throwing it out there for you guys....and that sometimes the most simple dresses look the best on you.

^ I personally think that dress looks great! Even though it's black, there's a sequin design too. It really depends if you want to stand out more though...
I went to my friend's junior prom yesterday! (Mine is in May...) I was worried about my dress being too simple, as my family and me decided to buy it so we can use for my 18th birthday as well... But I think it looked fine?

Hey guys.. Question.
Obviously, a lot of people like to match colors with their date.. If the dress is red, her date's tie will be red, or something like that. So.. My jr prom dress is white. My date's tux is black. Sure, the dress shirt and tie can be white, but: How can we coordinate our outfits to match? -------------------- |

Wow, I LOVE IT. Your dress is stunning. <3 I'd never have the guts to wear something that fabulous to prom. How long is your hair? You should probably go with a simple hairstyle, to offset the dress. Um, my issue is that I'm going to two proms, and I can't decide whether or not I should get two dresses. I already have one in mind, but it's WHITE. The two proms I'm going to are within a week of each other, and I'm afraid I'll spill something / get it dirty at the first one, and ruin it for the next.. Ideas? (Plus, I'm only going as a date for both proms, neither is my own. So, I don't really want to feel like I'm OVERDOING it. I'm just a junior, after all...) -------------------- Bearing signs on your avenue, for your own personal Waterloo.

hey guys..so the theme for my prom is midnight masquerade and i was wondering what kinda of dress would be appropriate for it? any ideas would help. i'm super excited for it and i love the theme! and since there isn't a thread dedicated to prom and i didn't want to create one to ask this so i hope i can ask it here. do you know where i can get a masquerade masks or a Venetian masks? hehe. Midnight Masquerade is the theme for my prom too! I don't know about other schools, but the people at my school don't really follow the themes. Here's a website that sells Venetian masks: http://masks.ufimart.com/index.php?main_pa...dex&cPath=2 I just googled a 'masquerade masks' and there's a lot of links. Hope it helps! My prom is on June 6th, I think. I haven't even gone shopping for a dress yet, or made any makeup or hair appointments. >___<; I'm thinking of getting a dark purple/violet dress, about knee length, and i don't know about the straps or any special ruffly or sparkly things on it yet. ahh... time to start looking online now! |

If you live in CA, you can get free prom dresses at The Princess Project. They give out free prom dresses to high school girls every year. This only applies to high school girls living in San Francisco, Silicon Valley, and East Bay.

oh yeahh, btw, is that dress available on the web? haha i cant seem to find it ^^; I looked it up for you. It's the JM Donna dress. http://www.jessicamcclintock.com/webapp/wc...gId=-1&sz=4 http://valleyfair.us.westfield.com/store/j...uct-627625.html I also found out it was on Jessica's favorite dresses list, haha. Simple goes a long way girls. Emerald Snow's dress is so nice! I saw it online in gold once. I was wondering which store you tried it on att. Good old Macy's. It was less than 100 too, if I remember correctly....now I sort of regret not getting it since it fit me almost perfectly. But then again, I had nowhere to wear it to... -------------------- *Insert some wise words here*
