Prom Dresses!, for Prom 2008! :) Options

Okay so i reallly just fell in love with this dress, and I think i might get it..



but the thing is is that i'm a 34c/d
and I dont know how i would support my boobs in this dress O_O
What kind of bra would I wear? and if I can't wear a bra... should I just sew in some cups in the dress?
anddddddddd my date is the same height as me.. maybe a little taller. +
should i wear heels or stick to.. some flats.

I'm planning to have my prom dress custom made. I went to a dressmaker today to discuss the price and it was a lot more expensive than I thought T___T My dress will cost a little below $400 total (the labor+fabric) because of how complicated it is and how hard it is to make D:! I really like the style and my imagination for my perfect prom dress so I am kind of determined to get it custom made .____."
I will definitely post up pictures when it's done!! Hope it all goes well~

The dress was retailed for $168. Discounted to $60 and then I got an additional 50% off. In the end with tax and everything it was only $32 AND it's Jessica McClintock

It's supposed to be rhinestones and jewels in the front. But when I resized the photo I lost the HQ of it from my camera. Also to begin with, my photos were kind of blurry. Too lazy to retake them. -.-"

Should I get a slit cut in the front? Like I always imagined my prefect prom dress as "orange, halter and slit". Would it ruin the front now?

if anyone wants to read my story, here it goes! lol

a few months ago i went to san francisco & visited the macy's there. it was hella early prom shopping but yeah w/e. it was just for fun (: [oh btw, my mom gave me a $50 limit to buy a prom dress.. -__-) mmk, so I saw this nice purpley dress in the back priced at $170 sure, i knew i wouldn't be able to get it, but hey; that doesn't mean i can't try it on right? (;
so i try it on.. and love it.

but yeah. $50 mom? haha funny. -__-

so between w/e month that was & now, i went to a bunch of other places to go prom shopping & found nothing D: when prom gets closer and closer, going prom dress shopping loses its fun-ness :/ anyway, last saturday, my friend invited me to san fran and i thought to myself THIS IS MY LAST CHANCE [f0reveralways]!!! asjdfklas. yeah.

okay lalala i want to Macy's and found ONE of that purpley dress left and it just HAPPENED to be in my size but oh no. no price tag :/ so i ask the cashier lady to do a price check & it's only $60! yay. haha. but then *dun dun dun* tragedy strikes. there's a hole in the dress

but eh. it's on the side. i figured i could get my mom to sew it up. so i get discounted 15% for the rip & then my friend had some 20% off Macy's thing and i ended up paying only $44 (with tax) on the once $170 purpley dress. yay. happy ending. haha. i even managed to fit it under $50 like my mom asked! i've never been more proud. lol






PS: i'm thinking about asking my mom to turn it into a halter or connecting the two upper parts of the X on the back into one line so it becomes a 3-way thing from the center instead of a 4-way thing. err yeah. sorry i suck at describing stuff i plan on keeping my hair down for prom though.. so would it be unnecessary? :/

^Wow congrats! I love that shade of purple. I think you should just leave it as a 4 way though...looks fine the way it is. 44$ is an amazing price...looove Macys!! They always have such great deals if you look hard enough.

I'm pretty tanned (I'm Filipino/Japanese)...I have long black hair (about two inches past my boobs).

I bought the red one instead. When I went back to the store, they ran out of my sizes. I'm a size 1 and all they had were size 13's x_X
