Okay...so I'm a Filipino-American, I haven't been into a Phil. drama in AGES, but this drama is a bit different. I once described it as a mixture of Twilight just that it's about werewolves/Blood and Chocolate and MY GIRL. Yes... My Girl. What the hell, right?






It's about a werewolf falling in love with a human slayer, only it is set in a fashion world and modern-day government missions.

It's quite a mix of genres but the love story is really gripping. I also like how they portrayed the werewolves as some aristocratic human beings who are extra strong. They just turn into wolves in the full moon, no hair growing out of nowhere and bloody fangs.


The main draw is the love story. It's both funny and sweet. For such a mysterious story, their love story is really light.
The actors have smoldering chemistry. Anyone into this as I am?

CHARACTERS



LYKA RAYMUNDO aka ULAY, 21. Played by Angel Locsin - An awkward, clumsy and funny girl who learned to live her tragic life with a smile and a hilarious joke. At the tender age of seven she lost two of the most important people in her life. Her mother who just packed up and left her, and later on, her best friend Jayjay who died in a drowning accident.

Today, she lives with her Aunt Clara who has nothing but spite for her and her adoptive brother, Anton. But her luck suddenly changed when she was hired as a fashion assistant in the House of Elle, the biggest fashion house in the Philippines. She is suddenly living her dream and finding a place where she can truly belong. There she encounters the bouts of falling in and out of love with the snobbish Noah Ortega, who works as a bodyguard in that place.

But bigger things are changing for Lyka. She notices she is suddenly gaining her clear eye sight, gaining strength, great hearing, and speed beyond any human could ever comprehend. What she does not know is, she is more than just the klutzy girl next door. She is Lyka Raymundo ... a werewolf, a lobo, the strongest of them all and this ordinary girl has a challenge to face--- she has to lead their whole entire race. But one thing may be stopping Lyka and that is her love for the one man who has always been close to her heart.






NOAH ORTEGA aka JAYJAY, 24. Played by Piolo Pascual- A serious and self-righteous military man, Noah has been ruled by an iron-fist all his life. He was brought up in a strict household by his adoptive father, General Leon Cristobal.
Noah is driven by guilt, he witnessed his father die after being attacked by a mysterious white wolf and he did not get to do anything. He also blames himself for his friend, Ulay's death.

He encounters his first big military mission in the House of Elle to capture a drug syndicate. He's assigned to go undercover as a bodyguard and spy on the fashion house. But things get complicated for Noah when he met the annoying but persistent, Lyka Raymundo. After kissing her one night, his world has never been the same. Things get more complicated when he realizes Lyka and his supposedly dead childhood friend is one and the same.

But Noah cannot be swayed by emotion for he has a bigger assignment. This is no drug bust. He is appointed by the Luna, a secret government sect that slays werewolves/lobos. Unknown to him his one true love may be his one great enemy.

SYNOPSIS:
A story about LYKA RAYMUNDO (Angel Locsin), an awkward and overly hyper fashion assistant with a tragic past. She crosses paths with NOAH ORTEGA (Piolo Pascual), an ultra heroic but mysterious and snobbish spy/soldier who saves her life. She instantly falls for him, but he hardly budges at the sight of the cheerful girl.

But it seems like FATE has brought the two closer to each other... whether they like it or not. As love creeps in between the two, they do not know that FATE has something more in store for them.

A war is coming. In a magical world of WAYAs, the mythical werewolves live among us. In the glitz and glam fashion realm of The House of Elle, the WAYAs look for the last guardian to save them from extinction.

LYKA RAYMUNDO is their savior. She does not know that by her 21st birthday, she will transform into a werewolf when the full moon comes.

The LUNAs, a secret sect of slayers of the werewolves are preparing for the battle between humans and werewolves. They prepare one man for the mission... one who has complete hatred against the werewolves.

NOAH ORTEGA is in the forefront of the mission, he does not know he is being trained for this.

As the two tragic souls collide and fall in love... something deeper comes in. A rich history will connect them together. Every night as they wish on the moon, they are connected.

Anyway, I REALLY hope they maintain the quality of the drama so far. I really hated the first week of this drama, yadayada flashbacks. but by the time they established the real story, it became interesting.

ohs!! they should sub it, anyone who loves a good story will have a party for this drama..easily would glue you to your tv and get hooked, really- coz it's like you are partaking in the mystery of it all as the plot continually thickens, talk about an intelligently made drama, plus the love angle and the suspense of it.. i just keep on wanting for more!!!

Don't they claim they already have DVDs for this? Those have subs? Doubt it. 250 episodes... a lot of people got jipped, pirated ones.

nothing can make me move out of the couch once LOBO is aired on weeknights. it is really addicting. good plot, good actors. my friend who migrated to sydney is equally hooked to it. besides angel and piolo have very good chemistry.

So I had a Lobo marathon and finished 3 weeks-worth of the series in one day and I must say I'm lovin' it! The story is really interesting and I can't wait to watch the rest of it (I guess I have to babysit more often now -___-) I really didn't like Angel back when I was still in the Philippines but this series really changed my impression on her and Piolo is just pure hotness.

and Piolo Pascual? He's always been seen as a hottie but he's like exponentially hotter as Noah. I want a Noah for a boyfriend, someone find me one. If all soldiers look like Noah, I'll enlist.

I'm with you on Angel. I was literally laughing every time she does something silly. I didn't think it would be possible but she actually made me. Plus, I'm enjoying seeing Piolo as Noah, who's a cold but really caring person and Lyka trying to win him. LOL

Is there a way to watch this online for free? (So I don't have to babysit )
I think I'm so used to watching kdramas by downloading that it's weird to watch TV anymore.

Whoa, seeing angel on abs-cbn is sorta weird. Hopefully someone just clumps the whole weeks episodes into one. As watching 30 minutes (well 15 when you take out the commercial) a night is sorta annoying. Hmph, maybe i'm just used to kdramas nowadays.

The last episode was:

Lyka is developing her powers... she got her clear sight now, she was shocked that she broke the door after being mad at Noah which was hilarious... she can overhear Noah talk to himself about how he's attracted to her. She thinks she's going insane.

Meanwhile, Noah's best friend died in a failed mission. It may be all a set up by the Luna. Disturbing, I know.

In the previews, it seems that Noah confides in Lyka and they move in for an embrace. Their first intimate moment after the supposed "meaningless kiss".
