it's summer vacation for me, so i have time to waste
here's some tutorials on how i do nails -->ENJOY~~ GRADATION ![]() [silver-->grey-->black] supplies usually i use three shades of the same color, see through ones blend easier and if you put a clear sparkly coat on top it looks more gradient 1.light shade 2.middle shade 3.dark shade you also need a clear nail polish/ top coat for blending 4.clear nail polish ![]() let's ---> begin! A.start with a clean nail, some people put a base coat on but if there are too many layers of nail polish it takes so long to dry, so i skip it ![]() B.lightest shade put it on about 1/2 (or a little less) of your nail, try to make thin layers ![]() C.middle shade put it on about 2/3 of the light shade ![]() D.darkest shade put it on 1/3 of the light shade (1/2 of the middle shade) BUT if you are using a dark non-see through color like in this tutorial, put less... like 1/4 @.@ gah too many fraction... better just to look at the pictures, you can experiment with amounts of each shade ![]() E.blend use a clear nail polish to spread out the dark shade, start from the tip of your nail and gently stroke and spread out the dark shade towards the middle shade (grey) USE THIN LAYER!!! NOTE: if you are using three see through colors, you can just use the clear nail polish to blend the three shades; start from the tip of your nail and blend, add top coat if you like~ and you're done hee hee ^D^ ![]() ![]() F.let dry for about a minute, then use clear for final blending for this tutorial, i used the lightest shade to blend the colors, the sparkle makes it look more blended together ![]() DONE!here is a purple and a gold version too ![]() ![]() RHINESTONE ![]() [Shocking Pink w/ Stones] supplies i used: 1.'Sinful Colors' nail enamel #60 -Fusion Neon- (i really love the color, it's a lot brighter than in the pics ---> super blinding!) 2.clear nail polish (or nail glue if you have it) 3.toothpick 4.rhinestones (i got it from a store called INVU [i envy you^^haha] in the san jose great mall, super cheap like 4 bucks, also in daly city there is a japanese dollar (actually $1.50) store called 'daiso' that sells a lot of nail stuff for cheap, can get glue, fake nails, jewels, chains etc.) ![]() A.apply 2-3 coats of whatever color nail polish you like and let it dry ![]() B.put on the clear nail polish ![]() C.get a toothpick and apply a small amount of clear nail polish so it can pick up the stones ![]() D.pick up the stone by the top (the part you want facing up) ![]() E.put the stone on your nail and push gently into the nail polish so it is stable, if you are a fast worker you can probably put on the jewels while the nail polish is wet, if not you can dab a little bit of clear nail polish or nail glue on the bottom of the stone (DON'T USE SUPER GLUE!) you will have to add more clear onto the toothpick when it dries ![]() F.continue your design~ ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() DONE~!NOTE:the stones will stay on longer if you put a top coat on, but it will make the stones look dull, if you use a strong nail glue it should keep the stones on longer, but i havn't really figured out a way to keep them on for more than a week x_x;; if you know how please teach me~! NEW TUTORIALS~ on page 4 http://www.soompi.com/forums/index.php?sho...;#entry11022651 here are some of my past nails~ get some ideas ^^ ![]() ![]() ![]()
