I LOVE this workout.
It's so effective for 20 minutes.
I usually do level 1 and level 2 together; I'm gonna up the ante to level 2 and level 3 together.
First time I did it, I wasn't really sore, but I seriously thought I was gonna puke. crazy.gif
I have to admit, she's not ask perky as Charlene from TurboJam but she's a really good motivator, and explains everything clearly - she tells you what you're working out and what it does. It's kind of scientific lols.

Her other workouts are really good too; she has 2 new ones. One's called Burn Fat Boost Metabolism and the other one is No More Trouble Zones. They're longer - the first is 40 minutes and the second is almost an hour.
But they're really good if you have more time - she seriously works out every muscle in your body.
Burn Fat Boost Metabolism is alot of cardio whereas No More Trouble Zones is more toning - you use weights in this one.

I usually rotate these in with TurboJam, but I think Jillian Michaels' videos are more effective. vicx.gif

Yeah, some of the TurboJam workouts can get pretty intense.
But I say Jillian Michaels' videos are more effective because they work you out more in a shorter period of time.

I just finished Burn Fat Boost Metabolism like an hour ago; and I tried not to rest at all in between circuits - summer's almost here, so it means I have to raise the bar on my workouts.
I seriously though I was going to puke... It was so hardcore.
I was sweating so much - when I was in the plank position for the workout, sweat was dripping onto my yoga mat like rain lolss.
Feels good though (:

I'm tired with all these gimmicks coming out for losing weight. It's not hard to lose weight, all it takes is dedication. What works hasn't changed one bit. All you have to do is RUN and RUN and RUN some more. You can also do circuit training, which is all for toning. Circuit training workout only takes up 15 minutes a day and you see quick results if you actually push yourself.

do 5 cycles of 3 minute intervals of pushups, situps, chinups, or squats. Between each interval do a 200m lap as fast as you can. You will be bagged after 15 minutes and hurting if you do it right.

running works just as great:

I did a 21k run today for a charity event. It was brutal and I've never done anything like it before, but it's doable on a no training. I haven't trained for it and have only done 2 runs before I ran this and this was over the last 2 months.

All these ways to lose weight that people are coming up with are things that already exist, and they're just capitalizing on you guys.

Although I do like to run, I prefer not to because it's so sunny where I live and I don't wanna get tan. Even with SPF 60 you'll tan because sweat will make even waterproof sunscreen drip off. And your circuit training is good for people who are actually over weight and for guys. For girls who are normal weight and want to be skinny and slim, it'll make them bulk up too much.

For slimming, I find doing Jillian's level 1 (without any weights, the movements alone are good enough, weights will make you bulky) and doing 20 minutes of pilates or yoga right afterwards, don't bother doing Jillian's cooldown because pilates/yoga will cool you down too. Pilates elongates and slims your muscles so you can burn fat but not just bulky. After that, do a good 10-15 minute stretch. Stretching is essential for preventing bulking up and sore muscles.

I love Jillian Michaels. I tried to get into Turbo Jam, but eh. Way too long, and I'm the kind of person who is always on the go. I need a workout that is always on the GO as well...hahaha.

Haven't tried Fat Blaster yet. Name sounds pretty odd. lol Love ab jam though! =D I have cardio party mix 1 + 2.

Started using Jillian Michael's vid a couple of days ago and she was killing me on level 1!! It's really effective though. Love how she motivates. She has such a strong personality (plus voice) and I love it. ^^

My problem is that I have to stretch A LOT after level one 'cause since level 1 requires a lot of weigh lifting, I can't afford getting bulky. It terrifies me. It's working though =). My arms are thin, a bit "chiseled"(eh), but it's nothing I can't handle.

Getting these vids replaced a lot of my running time. (I can't complain about that, now can I?) ^^ At most, I run like 2 hours a day now? Before it was around 3-4 hours.

for those having trouble opening/playing the vid: you have to merge all the parts, using Split&Concat (for mac, i don't know what you'd use for Windows.. sorry =/). you can dl it for free here: http://www.xs4all.nl/~loekjehe/Split&Concat/

Started my first day and I actually did Level 1&2 together. I could barely walk afterwards.. I was wobbling and I felt like my legs were gonna give out. Hahah. I'm still tired and my arms and legs are still a bit sore but a good workout. smile.gif I think i'll go 3 and then 2 tomorrow or something. I didn't wanna just do 1 cause 20 mins seems so short.

If you guys use Windows, HJSplit can combine all of the parts for you ^^
