YANGGOON (Yang Hyun Suk) The man who created the yg family label.
He was one of the three members of the legendary ‘Seo Taiji and Boys,’ the group that
left the biggest mark in the history of Korean pop music.
Having exceptional devotion for hip hop since his group act days, he turned to
production after retiring from it.
Beginning with ‘Kip Six’ in 1996, he successfully produced and made a big hit with
debuting hip hop musicians such as Jinusean, 1TYM and others to the mainstream
market.

Korea’s first family album, ‘YG Family’ also drew much public attention.
In 2002 he joined hands with M.Boat, a label specializing in R&B with abundant potential.
He produced consecutive best newcomers in 2002 ‘Wheesung’ and also in 2003 ‘Big
Mama’ cementing his reputation as the best record producer in Korean pop music.
Moreover, his direct experiences from having been a singer himself has propelled Hyun
to gather a formidable team of the best producers, lyricists, composer groups, talented
singers, creative planning team, and the strongest PR teams to provide the best
environment in ensuring highest quality music for YG Entertainment.
