Decided to quit coffee cold turkey and it's not going too well.
Any natural remedies or advice to ease the discomfort? Share any stories of your own experience? My head is throbbing and I feel so groggy even with tylenol... Edit---------- Thanks for the suggestions and advice everyone -------------------- |

My head is throbbing and I feel so groggy even with tylenol... Yea, going cold turkey on coffee sucks. I used to do a cup of coffee and a cigarette (or two, or three) as part of my morning routine. I went cold turkey on both and I had massive headaches for a week. Try detoxing naturally with lots of water and fiber. Your body will flush out all the toxins from the coffee and your body will begin to repair itself on it's own, you just have to give it time. For a healthy jolt of energy, try honey lemon tea, it's cheap and easy to make: 1 cup water + 2 teaspoons honey + 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice, heat and drink. Hope that helped. |

If you're doing it for the boost of awakeness, eat an apple. Apples do what a coffee does, only they're healthy.

I think the concentration of hell in the apples is what works actually. Mind you, if you could get hell in a pill form that would be nice too... might hurt going up tho. (that's right, up, not down!)

Substitute the cravings with something else, like sugar.

Never tried to quit and probably will never try either. Coffee loves me too much and doesn't want to let me go. It's addicted to me so I can't just leave it..lmao

I'm glad I don't like coffee or tried to make myself get into it. All my friends can't live without it now damn.

Ha..I used to swear to myself that I wouldn't become one of those corporate caffiene druggies once I entered the workforce but lo and behold, there was a damn Starbucks right below the first level of my office building. Of course, even if I didnt buy a coffee that day, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee was always calling my name every morning and I found myself getting addicted =P
I tried to curb my caffiene addiction slowly, limiting myself to however many a week.. and then eventually getting juices from the vending machine in the cafe. :3 Gone are the days when I used to shake really badly from the caffiene bug, hah. -------------------- YUNA!: An alien from the 5th dimension. Cold turkey. 3 days is going to be hell, but you save so much money and so gain so much energy during the rest of the day when you are not relying on coffee for your energy.
