And the boy wasn't "willingly" allowing her. If you read through-out the news he was so drunk he could barely stay awake.
So it is actually a bit about the gender, for two reasons.
The fat woman got about 12 years? I'm betting you that this man will probably get 40-50 years. Yeah 190 times vs 2-3? Family or not, that is a longer lasting crime and should be taken just as seriously!
Whilst I saw people commenting in the other topic "OMGAWD I BETCHU HE LIKED DAT". Here it goes "Guy really needs to die".
And when someone posts that they don't care in this particular topic, they need their heads checked? While in the other topic it was okay? Yeah right.
The 15 year old girl who was gang-raped for 2 hours at Richmond High School also received little remorse from both her school and the public. She was met with the usual "She asked for it" and "Why was she drinking?" type of accusations. Perhaps the lack of outrage is not so much with gender, but with the fact that others feel that these victims put themselves in a position where they compromised control - a stance I don't necessarily agree with, but that I can understand.
And funny, how you think that the woman who raped the 12 yo boy "has it good" compared to male rapists. If you want to compare crimes, he raped FIVE people in comparison to one person, and raped them over a period of time while impregnating them, and delivering their babies unsafely at home with no medical care. By doing this, he not only put his daughters' lives at risk, but his babies' lives AND health at risk as well by committing incest that could lead to defect, and by delivering them himself. The violation of his daughters' bodies was done in more ways than one, through battery, sexual brutalization, pregnancy and birth: and this was all done by Papa. As much as you shouldn't compare, I wouldn't even level his crimes to a man raping a 12 yo girl 200 times, which we've seen many times over in the newspaper. And please, don't even start with saying that men somehow have it much worse with the "I BETCHA HE LIKED IT" comments - women get the "SHE DESERVED/ASKED/LIKED IT" all the time. I'm sorry that you only see the stupidity in it now that it's done on a boy.
As for the fat woman having an "easy sentence," what about the
father who orally raped and attempted murder on his two year old son? He was only sentenced to 15 years in jail, in which he must serve at least 12 before he is eligible for parole. He committed incest, sexual assault AND attempted MURDER, and his child was also under the age of 12, which should have made the sentence stronger. Looks like it didn't. And the case of
Chelsea King, the 13 year old? Common example of how a person is given a free ticket to re-offend. Psychiatrist Dr. Matthew Carroll, who interviewed Gardner, the alleged rapist, said he would be a "continued danger to underage girls" because of a lack of remorse for his actions - he suggested they implement the MAXIMUM sentence for Gardner's crime, which is 10 years. Prosecutors initially charged Gardner with more violent sex-crimes that could of resulted in a sentence of more than 30 years, but he was instead sentenced to 6 years as part of a plea agreement, in which he only served 5 years before he was released. When he got out of jail early, he raped and murdered Chelsea King. The semen found on her underwear showed a DNA match to Gardner's. It figures.
So... they let him out even on the advice of professionals, and even though he was a repeated and dangerous sex offender. Does that at least make your heart warmer, and your outrage less with the fat woman who only got 12 years? If not, read all the comments on the Ayinde article's main page that suggests that the mother should get an equal sentence for standing by and not doing anything.
